Sometimes You Gotta Laugh

One of my best friends and supporters wanted to be sure I got it right. So when I wrote the article below, “Cut Off the Water” and finished it with regard to Fallujah stating, “the water is running just fine,” he corrected me.

I appreciated his concern with my being right, very much.

He cited an article that said that, once the attack actually began, American troops cut off the electricity.

As a result the residents of Fallujah were complaining that they had no running water.

Does anybody but me get the humor here?

For days every news service on earth has known that Fallujah was about to become a combat zone. Historically if an area is about to become a combat zone, you get the hell out. But a lot of folks just stayed there.

Now it IS a combat zone.

And the big complaint people in this combat zone have is that their TV won’t work and their running water is off.

Poor babies!
