This game they call the election will soon be over and we can get back to serious matters.
You will notice that WhitakerOnline this time is on this very subject.
The whole theme of WhitakerOnline is truth you already know, the fact that by the time an election occurs, all the important issues have long since been decided by people like you and me and in places like WhitakerOnline.
Many of my readers seem to think that there is some kind of mysterious cabal that does all the planning in politics. That is simply not true.
John Soros is a multibillionaire who is obsessed with destroying George Bush. With all his money, he has not even made a dent.
The reason I don’t believe in the kind of Conspiracies people talk about is because, as Ben Franklin observed, “Three people can keep a secret, but only if two of them are dead.”
Actually conspiracy theories serve exactly the same purpose that “get out the vote” campaigns do.
A “get out the vote” campaign is designed to give legitimacy to the system. It makes the unimportant choice we are finally left with seem like The Voice of the People.
Conspiracy Theories do the same thing. They tell people that the system is too secret and too powerful for anybody to affect it.
Whether it’s a “get out the vote” campaign or a Conspiracy Theory the final message is that your ideas don’t count, you can’t buck the System.
Meanwhile we need to get this stupid election over and get back to bucking the system.

I agree. Sitting around whimpering about “Conspiracies” doesn’t accomplish a damn thing.
Find the right thing and do it!
