The Law Won’t Work as Long as We Think Judges are God

The 11-year old kid who killed a girl a third his size is up for another violent crime.

The psychologists said he was just a poor, misunderstood kid and he was convicted, but soon let go.

So now he’s back up for violence again.

What a surprise!

He was a vicious bully and nut before he was 11. But when he came before the judges and psychologists, The Law was worried to death about being unfair to him.

The kid was dangerous. He was a threat to the public. But that is not The Law’s problem. The Law is not concerned with some nameless person this kid might kill or maim. The Law is concerned only with treating this kid fairly.

I do not believe in The Law. I believe that a bunch of lawyers who put on black dresses and call themselves Judges are just lawyers who put on black dresses. They are going to screw up.

If there are twenty million dollars worth of legal proceeding The Law is happy with any result. To me if that huge legal proceeding results in a nutcase being put back on the streets and someone gets killed, The Law, His Majesty Itself, has just killed an innocent person as surely as if an innocent person were executed by Its Majesty The Law Itself.

NOBODY else thinks that way.

Would you also say that seeing a judges as God is an open invitation for the wrong people to want to become judges, like sociopaths, maybe?
