If an individual does not think for themselves, then they can easily be led astray in the future. Leadership is a different thing though. I admit that I have both toughened and softened my positions on certain issues depending on what those that I respect have to say or write about them, like a sort've healthy merging. Being a "Whitakerist" wouldn't be so bad of course, but I think that everyone who truly believes in a cause, wants to be improved upon. Reading old material that I wrote is interesting, as I am sometimes impressed, and sometimes not. It can be amusing. I agree very much with you on this.
