A Point of INFORMATION
Posted by Bob in Coaching Session, How Things Work on 09/12/2006
I am a documentary freak. But hwat fascinates me about documentaries is not just the new information that is coming in masses every year about our real past, but the TWISTS I see.
For example the mammoths and all the other big animals in America died just after the Indians came over here on the land bridge. But every documentary busts a gut trying to provew that this was a COINCIDENCE. There were at least twenty earlier Ice Ages when the Bering Strait became solid land, but those animals didn’t die out untilt he Indians used it.
But this, they shouted, was a COINCIDENCE!
Why? I thought about it, and I don’t think anybody else did.
If the Indians came over and wiped out the big animals, it destroys the environmentalists’ image of Indians as living WITH Nature. It destroys the image of the Indian with the tar in his eye lamentinng the Evil White Man’s destruction of Brother Buffallo and the Nature the Noble Red MaN cherished, loved and took care of.
I have noticed a similar tendency in documentaries lately. Not that long ago, there was speculation about whether we had some Neanderthal genes in us. But recently every documentary has practically had a hernia insisting that there was not a DROP of NEANDERTHAL blood in us, that we were not interbreedable at all.
Well, the DNA evidence is in, at
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml;jsessionid=IIJWWGZ5MYOYVQFIQMFCFGGAVCBQYIV0?xml=/news/2006/08/29/neander29.xml
It is being kept very quiet.
The whole thing puzzled me. Why should a tiny bit of Neanderthal bloood bother the documentary makers? They could say that whites are INFERIOR and UGLY because of our 5% Neanderthal blood. That should DELIGHT them!
So I wondered about why they were busting a gut over this.
Well, it turns out that a guy wrote an anti-white book called “The Iceman Inheritance” which said that whites were evil and mean and cruel and unspeakable because they were developed in a freezing environment.
Actually, the Orientals are the product of just such an environment. We came up as the ice was retreating.
But, facts aside, The Iceman Inheritance said all the right things: whites are Evil. So it got all the wildly favorable publicity an anti-white nut can expect. It was a best-seller, and everybody loudly declared what a genius this nutcase was.
But a nutcase is a loose cannon. AFTER the publishing industry had elevated this guy to a cross between Isaac Newton and St. Francis of Assisi, he wrote ANOTHER book. This was a book about JEWS!
Somehow he managed to come up with the idea that Jews are so bad because they have an extra helping of NEANDERTHAL genes!
Suddenly every single geneticist who swears that there is no such thing as race began to swear that there is not a single Neanderthal gene anywhere today.
Once again, you need to get this lesson from Bob’s Blog: Every time there is a twist in informationm a desperation to prove a point that seems to come out of nowhere, you can learn something basic from it.
One twist like that can lead you to more information than the thickest Conspiracy Book you can find.
And I am getting desperately tired of being the only person who NOTICES it.

Mark said that Jeremy was too heavy at 280 pounds. I think it was a misprint.
But PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE separate out any debate over nutrition from what I am trying to say here.
Jeremy made an excellent point, nutrition is not what I am about. Bob’s Blog is not about an exchange between two commenters about health.
Here we have a great opportunity to make a disctinction that desperately needs to be made:
It is easy to get off on conspiracies or evil illegal aliens and miss waht this seminar is all about. I did a piece showing that integration and illegal immigration are the SAMR problem. I then got a host of comments on how bad illegal aliens are.
My point was lost in the rush and fury.
The POINT here is not whether Jeremy is right or wrong on the points he discusses. He has information and it is up to YOU to evaluate it. Bob is not your High Priest, he is leading a seminar.
My POINT is that you need to look at information a certain way. My POINT on immigration was that a country which insists it is based on Universal Principles and not its people’s interests is going to be unable to control its borders.
You can get diatribes on illegal immigration or correct nutrition all over the web. You can only get THESE pointers on how to APPROACH information RIGHT HERE.
By the same token, you can only get the tie-in between Lincoln and the two Preambles and the melting pot HERE.
Do NOT let this stifle your comments. Your comments on anything make me THINK. They make me EXPLAIN.
Anything beats the hell out of “Comments (0).”
Hey, gang, let’s TALK!
Jeremy
Hi Bob. Fairly new to your site. I feel like I should say something here, since I am a healthcare professional, a cardiovascular intensive care unit nurse(CICU RN) and a vegetarian since birth. I am 6′1′ and 280 lbs. was on a sports scholarship in college. I’m big and strong and fast, always have been. And my little brother is bigger than me. I am saying this since Dave apparently likes to make wild unsubstantied claims about being a meat-eater vs. being a vegetarian. You don’t need to eat meat to get adequate nutritionally complete protein, that’s bunk. And if Americans are taller and bigger (fatter) it’s because of the steroids fed to the animals and the increased number of calories we eat. If you went to another country, it would be patently obvious that this is the case. The difference between rich and poor was not meat in the diet. It was diet and lifestyle in general. Less food (veggies, grains, or meats) equals less calories. CALORIES. As you mentioned earlier, a calorie is a calorie. But not all calories are created equal. If you eat extra fat calories, your body doesn’t have to do anything to convert the fat, it simply stores it, not a lot of work involved. It prefers to store fat, less work. It you eat higher amnounts of protein, it is a lot of metabolic work for the body to convert it to fat, same with carbohydrates though not so much. I feel that a complete explanation of biochemical reactions at the cellular level is beyond the scope or interest of this message board. If you really want to know more, I’d be happy to tell you. Plants, by the way, have sterols, which are similar to cholesterol from animals, and of course, a person’s body produces cholesterol all by itself. So, while you would seemingly like to claim no correlation between eating meat and CAD(coronary artery disease), there is. Eating extra calories, which are fat, are readily stored in the body as fat. DUH. And if you eat a lot of protien, most people eat too much in this county, that creates a state of metabolic acidosis, that your body doesn’t like. And this is also ignoring the bodies’ systemic response to basically any stressor, which is an inflammatory response. Which creates a whole cascade of problems you body has to scramble to fix, like acid-base balance. Notice how osteoporosis is only prevelant in socities where people eat a lot of meat and dairy? The animal protien leaches calcium from the bones. Now as for your example of people in Alaska, don’t you find it odd that a remote people like the Eskimos who eat this diet all the time who as a distinct population are much fatter than most people all over the globe with the same standard? Is this an attempt at stimulating discussion about differences of race? I hope so, otherwise you seem oblivious and naive to such an obvious thing. It is mainly fat from fish by the way, which most Americans are deficient of, the omega 3’s and 6’s, I am sure you have heard of them. And if your buddy is taking a survival class in AK, do you think he is eating a lot of processed foods, empty calories, extra calories? You may be very astute in the sociopolitical arena, international relations, foreign policy, but you don’t know jack about the human body or optimal nutrition. And at this point I really doubt this post gets put up on your site, but here it is anyway.

ME:
I am very happy to have a professional nutritionist as a commenter. I will treat you rough, but I NEED you. You will notice I do not need people who treat me with kid gloves either.
No way I would refuse to print your contradiction to my statements. This is NOT Mommy Professor territory.
YOUR COMMENT MADE ME GET TO BASICS. See below.***
“you don’t know jack about the human body or optimal nutrition. ”
If you will read what I said carefully, you will find that I did not give a single PERSONAL opinion about either subject. I quoted a study on pure meat consumption in Alaska, given by doctors to doctors as a life-and-death course. I quouted my doctor brother who has become fascinated by the fact that no medical journal has yet found a connection between EATING cholesterol and heart disease.
“your buddy is taking a survival class in AK, do you think he is eating a lot of processed foods, empty calories, extra calories.”
“My buddy” is a full professor at a major medical school.
What I said in “Meat” is informati0n you will not see elsewhere, and an illustration of what gets left out of people’s stock of basic info, which is basic to my whole approach to thought.
*** YOUR COMMENT MADE ME GET TO BASICS:
“You may be very astute in the sociopolitical arena, international relations, foreign policy, but you don’t know jack about the human body or optimal nutrition. ”
True. But I needed your comment to make me say precisely how this falls into Bob’s Blog.
One way of thinking I am trying to inculcate here is for readers to realize that an industry is an industry is an industry. It doesn’t matter if it calls itself Medicine, Law, nutrition, or anything else. That is right in the center of my expertise.
And my experience. I have dealt with untold legions of lobbyists, and the ones for the AMA look just like the ones from the National Association of Manufacturers. You know hwat they want before they come in the door.
Rule One:
Professional objectivity is an oxymoron.
A professional ANYTHING is biassed, though he will believe every word he is saying. Professors honestly believe that the crap they are shoveling out is education.
Professional nutritionists have biases, HONEST biases.
One very serious problem I have in trying to get my message out is that, when I point out what may be a bias, people immediately begin to see it as a conspiracy or bad intentions or greed.
That is WRONG. But talking about Greed and feeling morally superior is far more exciting than the simple fact that, if you spend your life in a particular profession, you are going to absord some of the attitudes natural to your profession.
Which is more entertaining:
1) A diatribe about how dietitians are engaged in a Conspiracy to undermine the health of Americans and they are greedy and we are morally superior, or
2) Dietitians act like people?
Alternative 1) wins by a landslide.
The only problem with alternative 1) is that it isn’t TRUE.
I am saying that every time a reader sees ANY information, he should consider that that information is provided by a group of PEOPLE, and he, unlike anybody outside this seminar, must consider WHY that information is there.
Human nutrition is not my field. But human motivation IS.
Thanks! This needed ot be said, and you made me say it.

“WE MUST GET BACK TO THE BASICS”
For 65 years enormous sums of conscious energy and legal force has been expended to desegregate society.
Yet spontaneous segregation has triumphed, despite stupendous effort against it.
The more our treasonous rulers work to turn America into a vast prison camp (something substantially accomplished at present), the more they resort to the forceful destruction of our racial dominion via mass aided and abetted third world invasion.
Yet the natural force of racial segregation asserts itself and becomes ever more prominent (like in a penal institution).
The destruction of our racial dominion has ALREADY OCCURRED. That just needs to be admitted and faced.
Direct physical violence against us is not necessary as long as we refrain from forceful resistance against our treasonous occupiers, so there is no necessity for our rulers to employ direct physical violence against us.
Also, they are relying and the sheer “on the ground” situational and physical magnitude of the millions of third-world invaders to settle resistance matters for them.
So I ask, where do we go from here?

ME:
“So I ask, where do we go from here? ”
Our present situation reminds me of the Revolutionary War.
By all the rules of war of that age, the British had won that war by 1780 when they captured Charleston. At that point, British troops occupied every single major city in America outside of Boston.
But their actual situation was the same as that of Napolean when he took Moscow and waited for somebody to come surrender to him.
Not only that, but the British Army could go anywhere it wished And out in the countryside there was a MUCH higher percentage of Tory sympathizers by far than there are minorities today.
By our present reckoning, George III is our king and Napolean is the Czar.
