While brought to my attention only today in the local newspaper, I’m going to add on “Peak Water”. This only applies to South Florida though.

In 2001, we experienced our first “drought”, or inept government order to drain the lake, that got us higher water prices and a sewage tax. Now in 2006, we had another inept government order to drain the lake, which has led to our current “drought” and water restrictions in 2007.

According to this article, apparently South Florida is running out of water. Due to overbuilding and over population, the Biscayne aquifer, our natural source of water, is unable to replenish itself and our facilities are getting strained and will not be able to handle the anticipated 1.74 million new residents by 2025.

To fix this the government is going to require 2.63 billion and more control.

I never get over how the left drudges up catastrophy after catastropy, it tends to occur once every decade and they are always wrong. In the 70′s it was global cooling is just around the cornor. In the 80′s it was the nuclear winter hype. Today, we have global warming and how we will all die in ten years if we fail to act now.
