If you read the Gospel, you will see Pilate washed his hands of what he had to do to Jesus. The Jews convicted Jesus and then “turned him over to the civil authorities” for execution.

Just so, the Church never EXECUTED anybody during the Inquisition. They convicted them of the same Heresy of which the Jewish authorities convicted Christ, and then “turned them over to the civil asuthorities,” who then had no choice.

You would condemn the Inquisition for doing that. You declare that Jews, using the exact same logic, were innocent.
