I join a distinguished group fo commenters in congratulating mderpelding on this really SHORT, really excellent, insight:
Our great weakness when confronted with so-called progressive thought is to be conservative. Resisting change gives the initiative to the other side. So then we counterstrike. The progressives call this being a “reactionary”. They are correct. This is a defensive position and the best outcome of defense is the status quo. In extremis it means extinction.
Every Roman battle began with the Javelin throw.
Note that it didn’t begin with an enemy attack.

The Mantra*** and Roman Javelins
People who talk about Roman discipline in detail would have lost a real Roman battle if they were in command back then.
Why? Because they are so obsessed with the formation and the short sword that they forget the javelin. Every Roman battle began with each soldier throwing his javelin at the beginning. This was absolutely essential in every battle.
That javelin throw was so routine that it is barely mentioned. It took seconds, and then they formed up for battle. I was very young then but I seem to remember every Roman soldier carried sixty to one hundred pounds of equipment along in the tens of thousands of miles of marching he did in his twenty-five years carreer. Every one of them carried his javelin all that way for the one throw. The javelin alone was as cumbersome and heavy as the short sword and shield he toted all that way.
For one throw at the beginning.
It is hard to explain battle, so it is hard toe explain why the initial javelin throw was so essential that they carried it all that way and always began the battle that way. But the fact that they DID it shows how essential it was.
This initial javelin throw was a sine qua non because the Roman strategy was based on dispersing the enemy in the way all those flying javelins did it. It gave them time to form up for a defense or a charge. The form of the enemy that came at them was determined by that mass of deadly spears in the air.
So, while AFKAN and others are making essential points about the fight itself, you will lose if you forget the initial javelin throw. Our indispensable, sine qua non javelin throw at the beginning of ANY battle is the Mantra***. Without it, the enemy forms up his own way and goes on the offensive. The Mantra must be the keystone of our attack, because it is a shock, and it puts the enemy on a PREDICTABLE defensive at the outset as all those flying spears did:

“How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?”
“And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?”
“But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.”

I put Tolerance and Namble on SF Opposing Views.
An anti said he agreed with me about my condemantion of NAMBLA but not on my attacks on interracial datingand on my attack on alcoholics.
I replied that my stataement about alcoholics was the official position of Alcoholics Anonymous. He replied that he hadn’t moticed that for a reason.

No anti can SEE what I am saying. And it takes a LOT of mental perversion to be able to overlook this completely.
As this anti says, he was looking for buzz words like love and tolerance. These people imprisoning us for disagreeing with us really do believe they represent love and tolerance.
I was discussing this “tolerance” and NAMBLA and like perversions and just how warped one’s thinking have to be to actually not notice the children a blond and a black will have.
“Tolerance and love” in the anti creed is, of course, the exact opposite of tolerance and love in the real world. The Inquisition talked about Love and Mercy all the time. If you are bnr4ainwaashed enough, you can honestly believe that you are screaming people down for Love or jailing disagreement in the name of Tolerance.
Unregistered here is incapable of seeing that. He can see the Inquisition misused Christianity, he can see NAMBLA is pushing perversion in the name of tolerance. But he is incapable of seeing himself as doing the same thing in the case of forbidding whites to see what Tiger Woods and OJ.
Which happens to be my exact point.

To Simmons and Everybody Else I am Unfair to
I was unfair to Simmons twice. He gave a specific example of what I was talking about and al I noticed was that he had started by saying who we should get after first.
I HATE being unfair. But let me give you a smell of what the other extreme looks like.
Every congressional staffer is desperately sick of congressmen using committee time to flatter each other. You are working a hundred-hour week, you have fourteen balls in the air, and the Member you need to see FINALLY drops by the Committee. He says, “I want to start by saying something to my friend Mr. Bovine, from the third district of Pennsylvania. He and I worked together on the Lice Farmer Subcommittee on legislation …” and on and on and on.
Or, as we staffers would privately say to each other, “He’s a great guy, I’ve known him for years, and we just spent a wonderful half hour in the Men’s Room together.”
Translation: We were SICK of that crap.
I apologize a lot. But every time I do somebody belated justice I am not doing what you are here for. Believe me, nothing would be more boring than a seminar in which I was scrupulous about this.
Being fair can get ENDLESS.
I am serious. There is an advantage to having a tired old man here. It cuts the crap.
And believe me, gang, it is crap you do NOT want.
