Pain and Simmons: A Real JOINT Report From the Front!

Pain and Simmons are doing what I REALLY like to see. They came back from a fight giving each other hell, but that is because we haven’t had enough of the reports from the front they are providing.

They are coming back from the fight we have been talking about with Tom Fleming and his crew. As ALWAYS happens at least once when comrades go into a fight, one comes back feeling the other has let him down.

This is part of the process of fighting together. But take it from an old warrior, what is really important here is that, for the first time, we have two of our number coming back and saying how THEY WERE OR WERE NOT BACKED UP rightly.

Please understand what I am saying here. We now have a genuine REPORT FROM THE FRONT in joint action. I cannot TEACH this. Read Pain’s attack on Simmons and Simmons’ reply.

Simmons makes sense, and he is talking strategy. Pain may or not accept Simmons’ version, but there is none of the “Oh, GOD! My comrade didn’t back me up so I’m going to take my marbles and go homer!” crap out of Pain. It sounds insulting to me for me to even MENTION that attitude in connection with Pain, but Pain should forgive me for mentioning it because it shows you the kind of people I have had to deal with.

For fifty years, instead of being a COACH FOR FIGHTERS like Pain and Lord Nelson and Simmons and Prometheus I have had to put on a Mommy skirt and pacify the kids. If I didn’t one of them would cry that I was not backing him up and go off and sulking

When warriors some back sweating from a real fight, they don’t always tell each other what fine jobs they did. I don’t know about regular trained military coordination in today’s regular army. I am used to some guys coming back saying to each other, “I WAS STUCK OVER THERE GETTING SHOT AT FROM THREE SIDES. WHERE THE F*** WERE YOU?”

But out in the middle of nowhere you didn’t have a soldier whining, “Well, if people won’t back up, I’ll just take my weapons and go home.”

I have overcome my indoctrination by the self-styled Greatest Generation. The battle to get the Mantra into the mainstream is a thousand times more important than some firefight out on the ass-end of nowhere. I only did that as a cover for intelligence work.

It’s WEIRD. The last thing a man engaged in a firefight would do is some back and whine and threaten to quit because somebody didn’t back him up. But here, where it counts, I spent my time trying to calm down the kids and dealing with “ALL IS LOST!” crap.

It is SUCH a relief to see Pain and Simmons come back sweating and bitching and arguing about how to handle things.

If Knute Rockne could always tell his players which one was right and which one was wrong, I’m no Knute Rockne. If a player depends entirely on his coach in high school he is not going to make it in college ball, because the coach won’t be there.

YOU have to DO it. You have to WORK IT OUT with each other. That is the major part of what I mean by reports from the front. This is a SEMINAR, not grammar school. You have to get out there, DO it, and then work discuss how each of YOU performed without the ultimatums.

After all my years of wiping the prima donnas’ noses — and other parts – I am finally getting a chance to work with people who can get on the front and report from the front.

Pain gets credit for putting Fleming to flight.

But I really enjoyed that exchange between Pain and Simmons. Without that sort of exchange on who does what in a TEAM effort, we will severely handicapped in future.

Pain Exposes Fleming

Bob,

Remember you said that Fleming didn’t like you? Well, you win this one.

I just got him to come out of the closet for being an immigration fanatic. Since even most liberals are for closed borders, this puts him in the radical left.

IMPORTANT! As many people as possible need to go here: http://www.chroniclesmagazine.org/?p=680#comment-172692 and call for his resignation!!!

Also, it would be nice if someone could hire a private investigator and out him in any other way.

Great catch!

Pain goes on to make a mistake. He attacks Simmons for supporting the enemy.

Don’t be a Tom Fleming, flailing out at your comrades. Either you misinterpreted Simmons or he stepped in a cow pie. If you had condemned me every time you pointed out I stepped in a cow pie you would have left BUGS years ago. You owe the same faith to our other comrades.

When you talk about a fellow seminar member, you are discussing our most precious resource.

And a note to everybody. It is hard enough to try to find someone’s particular comments in forty or fifty entries, but when someone is using a different pseudonym there, I have to give up.

GIVE THE NUMBER OF THE COMMENTS YOU ARE REFERRING TO, or use some other specific indicator.

I think it was Simmons who came up with the term “shriek and retreat.” Notice Fleming uses the same strategy, he gets caught, shrieks and then cuts off discussion.

More Simplism: Great Civilizations and the Master-Slave Ratio

If we cut the crap, a Great Civilization is one that gets noticed by historians because it:

1) Builds a lot of stone monuments and 2) has lots of scribes.

They are able to build lots of monuments and hire lots of scribes because they have lots of slaves.

Each Great Civilization begins with a Northern Barbarian Invasion which, as is barely mentioned, brings in the wheel or iron. By the time The Northern Invasion comes, the invaded Great Civilization consists of a brown society rich in slaves which the invaders take over. The Barbarians get comfortable and begin to assimilate with the natives. They become a brown society, rich in slaves.

Another Northern Invasion moves in, with some little addition like the wheel or the chariot.

So much for Khaldoun, Spengler, and Yockey’s dumber parts.

A society which is easily herded, by the Orient, differs from this only slightly. When Aryans reached China and gave it their genius, that genius was multiplied, but not improved upon, just as Japan has gotten EXACTLY as productive as the West, but no MORE so.

No one in the Orient even imagines that they will do more than equal the West in per capita productivity.

In all the world, only the white lands, “Scythians” and so forth, had the wheel. Soon the Orient had it too, and, with its natural reserve of slaves, was able to ORGANIZE its technology long before the West was able to harness its own genius. The Orient has a slave-master ratio that is optimal for the Tom Fleming-type Great Civilization obsessionist.

In all the deluge of oohs and aahs over Great Civilization, the spark of creativity is easy to ignore.

Historians write endlessly about pyramids, but not one has even mentioned how rare the wheel is.

Hoosier Asks for RULES

So, what are your parameters for General Comments, Bob? Can a person talk about everything or anything there, or do you place limits on what can be discussed?
It’s your house and I’m just a guest, but I won’t know unless I ask. I haven’t seen any guidelines posted anywhere, other than following along what everybody else is doing, But, I may have missed some sort of posted guidelines.

– Hoosier

My “parameter’ is courtesy. If you are a boor, no rule is going to cure you.

I am proud of the fact that, with the group here, our (me and the tech team’s) ability to disapprove any comment is almost NEVER used. Even when I was criticizing AFKAN for trying to turn BUGS into a Covington Fan Club, he was still stalking about RACE, which happens to be what we are interested in.

I don’t have to tell seminary members not to talk about Texas Hold ‘Em. I would not insult them by stating that filthy language will not be tolerated here. I do not have to tell grownups that correct spelling is preferred.

Hoosier, this is GRADUATE SEMINAR, not a military academy for undisciplined retards.

Pain in GC Goes Too Far

Bob-

Thanks for being the smartest man anywhere, the best down-boiler ever, and for forming the finest little circle of thinkers to be found.

– Pain

“Thanks for being the smartest man anywhere”

Perfectly correct and a stunningly intellectual observation.

“the finest little circle of thinkers to be found.”

Let’s not go overboard.

Vindictive Victors

A question for Bob, who has Excessive affective concern for others and so may know what I am trying to get at here:

How do you know how far to push in a debate? Playing the mad dog Pit Bull can scare away potential allies. Also, one doesn’t want to hurt the feelings of another who is on his side.

For example, you are the first pro-Southerner who is also openly sympathetic to inter-war Germany. But most of them will write one off as a Lover of Big Government and Hater of Freedom and Evil Yankee-like Tyrant if one speaks too uncritically of them.

Pain

The most important thing this makes me think of is that WE NEED MORE REPORTS FROM THE FRONT.

Lord Nelson, Prometheus, Simmons and the others of you PRACTITIONERS should have been all over this in the period when I was unable to reach General Comments. Get IN here, troops!

The second observation is that Pain makes the sort of point I appreciate: concern for others is essential to a real Moot. “How do you know how far to push in a debate?” Playing the mad dog Pit Bull can scare away potential allies.”

How far you push any point depends entirely on what you want to leave the other participants WITH. Repeat, you are not trying to WIN an argument.

What is the POINT of bringing up interwar Germany with unReconstructed Southerners? It is that here we have a case of ANOTHER proud people who were defeated and HUMILIATED. Like the South, they had to agree that the whole thing had been their fault.

In the heat of debate, as in the heat of any kind of battle, you must not lose sight of what YOU are saying. For this, you must constantly be thinking of the people you are talking TO. The point here is that the Germans were treated the way WE were after our respective wars.

I do not speak uncritically of interwar Germans. I am the one who keeps emphasizing that all the Hitler-worshipers ignore the fact that a huge segment of that German population became fanatical STALINISTS. In 1933 the combined Communist and Nazi representation in the Reichstag constitute a majority. No government could be formed without Communists or Nazis.

Ergo Hitler. This is not a case for Hitler. What IS it a case for?

After the Civil War, the South was driven to be permanent enemies of a name: Republicanism.

I came up when liberals ruled because of this. All conservative Republicans voted against General Lee. All conservatives were still voting against Reconstruction. Instead of these Middle Americans deciding elections, elections were decided by people who had no deep-rooted American identity.

We all saw the problem then. Every Southerner was a Democrat. No Midwestern conservative Republicans would vote Democratic. The swing vote was liberal. Thurmond Democrats agreed on everything with McCarthy Republicans, but they could not unite.

Hence the election of Rockefeller and Javits. Hence the nomination of liberals and moderate Republicans for president.

Your point is that vindictive victory destroys the victors.

“Let’s Go to GC”

We are reinventing the Moot. “Reinventing” means I am not sure WHAT we are doing. So when I make a judgment call, PLEASE don’t take offense or apologize to me.

That is why I need you to USE General Comments. I said that I like discussion between you, but on the other hand I get uncomfortable when the discussion goes off on one of the very sidetracks I am trying to get you to avoid.

If your comment is not addressed to my point, please take it to General Comments.

In fact, when someone mentions a book or an author, and somebody addresses that book and author, it is time for you to say, “Out of COURTESY to Bob, let’s take this to General Comments.”

The Moot has the basic problem of human, individual thinking. What I say is SUPPOSED to make you think in all kinds of directions. On the other hand what I address can be INTERRELATED. And, like the Mantra, it is a matter of DISCIPLINE. Discussing Fitzschuler’s latest book may be on your mind, but calling it a specific “Comment” is not the place for it.

It is a matter of simple courtesy for you to continue your talks in General Comments the moment they are no longer comments on the specific point made.

This is not an easy call. Which is why it is good exercise.

Needed Additions

We get very interesting citations from input to sites like Chronicles of Culture, but we get no url to refer to or, more often, a general url that takes us to a debate with forty or fifty entries. I don’t know about others, but I cannot tell which of this huge number of entries is being referred to, so it is of no use to me.

One person referred to a Helsinki Convention as a reason for denying an immigrant visa to a white South African, but no explanation of what that citation from some Helsinki Convention IS. If you want something more than sympathy, you have to tell us what it SAYS.

Pain in GC

I just thought that I would let you know that since you are censored at work (it must be all the girly pictures), the first thing I do when I come home is to read this blog. This is what I am doing right now – even before I renew my SCV membership!

Dave in GC

The Internet has put the kibosh on the culture of mastery of texts as the differentiator in the “I am more educated than you are game”.

This has been very hard on Mommy Professor. Academic journals, peer review, and all those credentials just aren’t as cool as they used to be.

But what people don’t get is that mastery of texts has been replaced with mastery of English because that’s the most valuable language on the Internet and where global commerce is conducted.

Bilingualism is a sideshow. English has meaning because the whole nonwhite world wants to master it.

This was true before the advent of the Internet, but the Internet turbocharged the whole process.

What is unseen is that the demise of texts as a means of uniting disparate races and ethnicities into national polities has not only overthrown Mommy Professor, it has demolished the national identities of the 20th century multiracial and nonwhite societies in general, and left them only with the differentiator of the English language as the marker of educational attainment.

Supreme irony. At the very moment white nations are ceasing to exist, the white man’s culture is being elevated to the skies. The entire world is literally tumbling into it at breakneck speed.

Nothing is left but race because there is no uniter other than English in the educational arena. Texts are no longer relevant. And the white man is left without a country in a world that has elevated him beyond anything pre-PC 19th white men could imagine.

Genocide

Below is a link to an example of what happens when a creep is rightly accused of being a genocidist. You will note in the posts before the one linked below, he completely controlled the discussion by accusing Southerners of this and that evil, and the Southerners spent all their energies defending the South.

When the creep was accused of genocide, he fled; the conversation has returned to normal and everyone there saw how it happened: http://www.chroniclesmagazine.org/?p=667#comment-169036

“cultures are self-sustaining when the races that gave rise to them are subtracted, which is like thinking lungs continue breathing after the person whose chest they’re in dies.” A great quote from someone calling himself Fred Scrooby.

Disease, Micro and Macro

The microscope and the telescope both introduced us to new worlds. We found out the real basis of many diseases when we looked into the microscope.

We found that there were microorganisms that were killing us. What we have NOT realized that there are also MACROorgnisms that kill us regularly. Like microorganisms, they live on us, and they live their own lives independent of us.

They are called institutions. I view all those monks who threw away their genes for the Zoroastrian version of Judeo-Christianity as having been CONUMED by that institution.

Where are the Shakers? They were consumed by their institution to so great an extent that it killed the institution. Every Latin country followed a policy of assimilation in its colonialism. A person was viewed as French if he was Catholic and if he spoke French, regardless of his own biological background. The result is that, while colonies became powerful extensions of the Anglo-Saxon race, South America is a poor, brown dead end for Spanish Civilization.

Americanism has the same goal, a people with the Constitution and assimilation which will be another brown dead end.

Institutions have their own evolution and their own means of survival. Wordist institutions EAT the people who are part of it, and in so doing destroy themselves.

This concept is a substitute for Spengler-Khaldoun. Neither of them noticed that the Great Civilizations they saw rising and falling rose when they were white and died when they were brown. Spengler and Khaldoun obsessed on the institutions, the Great Civilizations, and never noted that they became diseases.
