Porch Talk

Posted by Bob on October 31st, 2008 under General

As one gets older one’s explanations become simpler. In the days before experts and Mommy Professor this was very enlightening to the young. “There has never been a Love like my Love” was perfectly understood. But the oldster did not dismiss it.

The oldster treated it as something he remembers. But the oldster also remembers that he bobbled it. He can tell the youngster how it was, but not how it should have been. After all he is just sitting there on the porch talking. He is not SELLING solutions.

Today that porch talking oldster is the LAST person the young ‘uns will ever talk to who is not SELLING a Final Truth.

The oldster knew about the element of sex, but he didn’t dismiss it the way a Puritan Elder would. To him the Elder was a lot more childish than the young guy or girl he was listening to was. To that person, his love was new and unique. The Puritan said, “I was what you call in love when I was your age.”

“Get over it! I did!”

That is the same lesson Mommy Professor teaches. That is the same lesson the Greatest Generation teaches. The Greatest Generation, as the name implies, is the only source of Truth.

Here is the essential difference between Porch Talk with a real oldster:

The oldster does not depend on DRAMA. The Greatest Generation has been told that it represents the Only True Knowledge, the Only True Experience which is being in that mystical experience called “COMBAT” in the “Last GOOD War.”

Mommy Professor explains that he is the final stage of the Truest Truth. Mommy Professor is dramatically undramatic. He tells you what you have heard and then WHAT REALLY IS.

There is no roll of drums because Final Truth is beyond a roll of drums.

The oldster will tell you what he has learned and then go in to supper.

There are so many forms of trespass, endless trespass.

And trespass rules so much in life. It is so overwhelming. Youth is bewildered and stunned by it.

It is not the barricades that bother me. Rather, it is what is hidden within the shadows behind them that only eyes guided by courage can see.

Nonwhites do not know how violent white people can be. Our hatred is greater than theirs.

That is because rivers run deeper in white lands and the waters are far more pure, the fragrances more divine, and summer days more perfect.

Nonwhites don’t get this at all.

Nonetheless, the reservoirs of trespass fill and fill and fill.

One day white men will blow the dams behind those reservoirs in exactly the same way the Belgium SS blew the Roer River dams in February of 1945.

Nonwhite men cannot imagine the flood that will befall them on that day, nor how hot the fire above the flood waters will be.

And when the flood recedes, rivers of burnt corpses will float out to sea.

“Last GOOD War.” It is still being censored. Toshio Tamogami, the top general of the Japanese Air Force has been fired for speaking about that war and Japan’s role in East Asia in the run up to it. He is critical of FDR, though his opinion of that creature appears better than my own. He scores a few interesting points in his verboten essay. I am not an expert on Japanese colonial policy and his accuracy is not important. What is of significance is that he cannot speak of matters well over six decades old. All he did was deliver a simple positive message about Japanese history and the need for pride. It is the sort of thing a visitor to a high school would say to a student assembly. But then the censors weighed in and they seem to emanate in part from Washington. The GOOD War narrative requires a devil ex machina.

    What rubbish.

If anyone is interested there is a link to the essay at the Wikipedia article on him. It is six pages long and innocuous. It is a pfd file. You will have to download Adobe’s Japanese script in order to get all six pages. It is in English but a couple of book titles are in both English and Japanese. The context of the firing can be ascertained in most any news story from a Google search.

You know Dave, for not being religious, sometimes you sure sound, well, religious.

    Shari,

The greatest lie of our time is that WW II ended. It did not. It is still raging today. But today it is referred to as “the Palestinian problem”.

“The Greatest Generation” crap is Political Correctness’s method of concealing the fact that World War II has not ended. And that fact that WW II has not ended is the real reason it is absolutely required that you believe that there is nothing more important than insuring Israel’s security.

You cannot have peace when the Establishment is under the reign of extremists. And the American Establishment has been under the reign of extremists since Woodrow Wilson’s time.

Our current election cycle is just one more exercise in keeping extremists in power.

Cultist organizations such as the Jehovah’s Witness have got it right: There have only been two worlds in history, the world that existed before WW I and the world that came into being after.

Now I don’t have any truck with the Jehovah’s Witnesses, but in that they offer a great insight.

Dave, That’s interesting about the Jehovah’s. There is an interesting thing in the book of Mormon too. It talks about two tribes in the new world before Columbus. One tribe kills off the true Israelites. Whites? Indians? Doesn’t make me a Mormon, but it’s interesting.
