One item of the endless list of White Man’s Evils is the Trail of Tears. That was when the poor Cherokees were routed off their land suddenly and had to walk to Oklahoma from North Carolina without preparation and died like flies.

I have read the real story a few times and you are welcome to correct me from Google.

The Cherokees elected a Big Chief to deal with Washington who was a large slave-holder with an Indian grandmother whose portrait looks as white as George Washington’s. When the US Government ordered Indians off their land by a set date, the Big Chief told the Indians he would take care of it.

When The Day came, the federal troops routed them out and sent them on their way. The Big Chief, like a modern liberal, yelled and stayed on his plantation.

As the date approached, a lot of whites saw what was happening and collected money for the Indians to have transportation and food for the trip. They gave the money to the lower chiefs and the lower chiefs stole it.

So the people starved and the chiefs took the money and the white race got the blame.

Just think of the Indians as third world poor and you will see this pattern repeated endlessly in this twentieth century. No one caught on to the REAL example of The Trail of Tears and tens of millions died because of it.

The retiring Justice Stephens was “the leader of the liberal bloc” on the Supreme Court.” He was not as leftist as Judge Souter but he got more done for the liberal agenda.

The one argument Republicans used for holding your nose and voting for a moderate was that otherwise a Democrat would appoint Supreme Court justices. Ford named Stephens, Bush Senior named Souter.

They STILL use that argument.

In the nineties the Senate was fifty Democrats and fifty Republicans. This left the deciding vote to the Vice President, who was Republican. Republicans announced this was unprecedented so they would have to compromise. The media had said so.

In 1953, the newly elected Senate was 48 Republicans and forty eight Democrats. Vice President Nixon, as per his constitutional role, cast the deciding vote. The Committee Chairs all went to Republicans and they got one extra member on each committee, which was traditionally what the bare-majority party always got.

No one pointed this out. The Leadership wanted to compromise. The 1953 precedent was never mentioned, including on Fox and in National Review.

Which gives you an idea of what John Ashbrook and I did on Capitol Hill. If we had been there, this would have been in the Congressional record.

The Martin Luther King Memorial Day had been on hold for over a decade when John died in 1982. Oddly enough, it was passed within months of his murder, er, accidental death.

Our “friends” never recognized what we did. Our enemies did, though.

The Mottl Amendment, sponsored by a Cleveland Democrat, was to restrict busing. The biggest newspaper in the state, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, wanted an op-ed on it from John. He turned it over to me.

The opposition position was that the Court was the Constitution. They stood by the Constitution, though they were not FOR busing, since Cleveland was the state’s Democratic stronghold and it was a crisis center for busing.

My article was called : “The Mottl Amendment, Is There a Balance of Powers?”

I simply pointed out that there were THREE Branches of Government and each was supposed to balance the other. If congress could not limit the power of the Supreme Court, as required in Article III, it was supreme.

The Mottl Amendment was stopped by the Leadership, but the point gave John a major boost in his election campaign against Metzenbaum. He had no real opposition in the primary, and a head-to-head poll showed him ahead of Metzenbaum for the general election.

Then he died. I went to his funeral, but he didn’t. The police were holding his body for more examination.

Sonny Bono was also in the Senate primary and he was pulling ahead of the Democrat. Then he went out skiing alone at two in the morning and killed himself hitting a tree. Kopechne never had an autopsy.
No one noticed the stuff we did so no one believes that the left would go “that far.”

We stopped things before they happened, and the media never talked about them.

And do you think conservatives would mention it. They managed to keep 1953 a secret.

In the 1950s my mother and father were walking along in London when a guy walked up and said, “You’re an American, aren’t you?”

Well, at least he didn’t say “Yank” so my father said yes, Brits consider you an idiot if you call a Scotsman an Englishman but they have never got the effervesce between a Yank and a human straight.

The fellow went on, “The difference between America and England is that in America the bosses run things and here Labour runs things.”

My father replied, “Yea, and where Labour runs things your shoes are worn out, your clothes are dirty, you haven’t shaved for several days,” he was pointing at different parts of the man in front of him.

Then he leaned forward and said, “And he’s probably HUNGRY, too, right?”

My mother pulled my father away and ended the exchange.

I have pointed out to Brits that we killed more Yanks in one war than they did in two.

ANOTHER Brit walked up to my father and said, “You’re from America, right?”

My father agreed to that.

The man said, “I know a lot of bad things about America.”

My father replied, “I know a lot more bad things about America than you do.”

In fact, like me, my father expostulated endlessly about bad things in America, though in this case the fellow did not seem to want to continue the talk.

In fact, what my father replied was the ultimate response. He knew all about how bad America REALLY was, but he was an American, and wouldn’t be anything else for love nor money.

I know some bad things about the Catholic Church, but BBG knows a hundred to one, and he wouldn’t be anything else. Others hate the South while other outsiders see Gone With the Wind as truth. I despise those who let the South pay for the entire Federal Government PLUS a subsidy to Yankees through tariffs.

I DESPISE the HEROIC confederate leaders who didn’t secede earlier when WE could have won. But I am Southerner.

This is how identity works. BBG and other Catholics put up with my specific criticisms because they trust me. I listen carefully to criticisms of the South from people who have an identity of their OWN.

We do not trust people who criticize the South or the Church if they are Wordists. A Wordist has no gut loyalties.

A Wordist is an instant traitor. When he criticizes the South or the Church he is against Southerners and Catholics. To a Western man, nothing is so evil as hating your own. To Political Correctness, goodness is truly despising your own people.

If BBG criticizes the South, I weigh what he says. Id a Wordist attacks the South, I take it for what it is, an expression of hatred.

This is a distinction no Wordist can understand.

Identity gives you a gut loyalty. You are a part of your own people. You can love them and despise them at the same time. In fact, all of us do love and despise our own people simultaneously.

Wordism depends entirely on one’s current opinion. A Wordist loves or hates according to his current feeling about a group from one set of words against another set of words. He HATES Evil, as he defines Evil according to his Wordist outlook.

Sop whoever he is currently criticizing, best of all if it has the virtue of being his own group, he currently Hates, because they are Evil on the only scale he knows.

The Wordist assumes the same motivation in others. To him, Hate is the basic motivation.

Loyalty is the most natural motivation for any animal above the level of a cockroach. Meer Kats hate other groups of Meer Kats during the period they are competing with them. Over tens of millions of years of years of evolution, there has never been a social animal who judged all others of his species objectively.

Wordists are very unnatural animals. What passes for loyalty in them is whether a group represents Good or Evil. Someone who is wrong is not just wrong, it is Hate of all things that are Good. No healthy minded person can think that way. He loves his family and knows what is right and wrong about them. The loyalty does not vary.

It is inevitable that the Wordist sees the world in terms of Hate versus Love, of Good versus Evil.

To a person with a healthy mind, this is a very sick way to look at things.

If you are doing something wrong that decreases your standard of living down to a third world level, or even down to an even lower third world level, what will happen when you STOP doing that “something?”

Obviously, your growth rate is going to go wild. China is now removing its Marxist planning evaluations and introducing the market system. China is growing very fast, not because it has discovered a new way to Prosperity, but because it is abandoning the silliest economic system this world has ever seen.

The media have ignored Russian economic growth and they have forgotten that Japan conducted an economic miracle that grew it from a prostrate economy that had been barely starving along at its best to the top of the per capita income list in one generation.

No, all the praise is for “Communist China’s economic advances.” Japan is forgotten.

There are some good reasons why this “information” is produced. China has 1.2 billion people who are around 100th in productivity, but it also has a trillion bucks in US currency and the Western media worships China as the last big holdout among the Peace Loving Democratic Republics.

On top of all this is an influence outsiders don’t usually bring up. Communist sources are big news, and one’s access to Chinese information is exactly as much as the Government wants you to have. If you are a reporter whose livelihood or the success in competition with other networks depends entirely on what mood you put their bureaucracy in when they read about your reports, you are going to become their advocate.

There is no countervailing force in our media.

So we are going to get more and more about how a combination of Marxism and a price system has led to the perfect economy which is now growing in China.

So there is a place, a pivotal place, for Mommy Professor it the New Order. The slopping down of the Soviet Empire really scared Mommy Professor and his commentators.

The first to come to the rescue were the respectable conservative commentators. They said the Soviet collapse did not mean that the left had no place. I remember liberal commentators, their Symbots, thanking them for saying that.

No respectable conservative said the whole business of a bunch of self-maximizing self-styled Idealists and Intellectuals who only chose each other running things had been discredited once and for all. Respectable conservatives did not say that any society run by a self-selected bunch of Politically Correct — it IS a Marxist term, and ONLY a Marxist term –Intellectuals would be a disaster in the real world.

No, that would destroy the whole symbioses of left and respectable right without which the respectable right would have to become Motel clerks.

For the World War II Generation everything was capitalized. They had no moral courage, but that was OK because they had Courage and they had the old costumes to prove it. One old vet told me that an officer wandered around a hospital ward handing out Purple Hearts. He gave them to the guys who happened to be in their beds right then and he left the others on the empty beds.

The reason the man told the story was because the man in the empty bed next to him got a Purple Heart for having the claps.

Every American was a Hero in WWII, just as everybody who died on 9/11 was a Hero. A person trapped on the fortieth floor that day was a tragedy, but not all tragedies make Heroes.

Have you ever noticed that everybody who was in the Greatest Generation fought against Nazism but not one person in Korea or Vietnam fought Communism? The media did not routinely honor Vietnam vets. They were spit on in the streets.

After the first War for Israel against Iraq in 1990, the media LOVED everyone in uniform. As a special favor, these guys not only had a Coming Home Parade, but they LET the Vietnam vets march WITH them! It was the first time returning American soldiers had been cheered since 1945.

A number of the scientists who developed the atomic bomb were “leftists.” Einstein, for example, worshipped Stalin until both of them died in 1953. Fuchs was an open Party member. A majority of Oppenheimer’s friends were card-carrying Communists, but he didn’t actually JOIN.

And these were the guys who switched to being against the Bomb after WWII. The moment the world began to be divided between the USSR and the USA, they declared the A Bomb was an awful mistake.

But they also wanted CREDIT for it.

I have never seen anyone put the above two sentences together. Wilmot Robertson did mention forty years ago that the conversion of leftist scientists from pro-to anti-bomb did not involve a change of morals, but a change of ENEMIES.

You can only expect one revelation out of one scholar.

I am no scholar, so I am full of it.

Revelation, I mean.

But the anti-nuclear movement gave them a chance to brag about coming up with the bomb and being too moral to use it. The A-Bomb was developed specifically for use against the Nazis. But these Great Consciences were not awoken by VE-Day. They knew exactly what they were unleashing, but the personal cost of simply quitting in 1945 would have been immense.

So the guys who slobbered and peed on themselves for decades after the War about the racist use of The Bomb against Japan went right on cold-bloodedly for two months after VE Day.

No one, least of all respectable conservatives, every asked WHY.

I was reading a fairly editorial piece by Larry Niven, a sci-fi writer. In passing, he said, “…back in the time when we thought people of the future would be almost infinitely wealthy. Most of us can remember THOSE days …”

Today, no one talks about a wealthy future. All wealth is stolen from The Environment. When I point out that there is no starvation on earth any more, it is a voice in total silence. No one notices that at all.

We used to make fun of the Hard Shell Baptists, who insisted they were going to spend Eternity in almost unendurable Joy, but who sat around waiting for it like someone in a dentist’s office where there was no anesthesia.

But the whole basis of humor is a sense of PROPORTION. And today there is no sense of proportion on either side.

One thing noticeable about the Doonesbury comic strip is that everyone in it had the exact same expression on his or her or its face: sadness, bearing it out, in other words the misery all young people are expected to have today. Doonesbury was an expression of perfect Political Correctness, and that is Political Correctness: Things are bad and can only get worse.

PC says that anything you have is a sin.

But not as bad as they SHOULD get.

Has anyone noticed any similarity?

You see, there are those institutions that depend on a conservative “Christian” constituency and those that depend on a “Progressive” constituency.

If you want to raise money on a “right wing,” “Tea Party” constituency, you can point out that Doonesbury types are a bunch of misery-worshipping sickos. You get money for telling the “Christians” that they AREN’T.

In this society, it is fatal to overestimate intelligence, so I will point out that Doonesbury praises the Wisdom and Progressiveness of people whose only expression is that of misery.

But no sane person will point out that identity.

So I will.

Larry Niven talked about a world we all remember, but which no one dares OPENLY remember. The Tea Party offers the kind of Heaven Hard-Shelled Baptists waited for, with their teeth clinched.

PC offers self-hatred, but as a duty, teeth clinched.

I have talked about the fact that there is no starvation in the white-developed world.

Let’s expand on that. The Aryan-ruled world — PC will agree it was Aryan ruled for blame but not for credit — is history’s only REWARD-BASED society. Other Great Civilizations were based on the whip.

Western Supremacy is not based on requiring bush Africans to ride bicycles and have transistor radios on them.

If anybody wants to wear the weird outfits you see on Africans in the Rosetta Stone, they are welcome to do so. I have spent a LOT of time in Africa, and I have NEVER seen any black wearing those uncomfortable sticks and strings.

They don’t WANT to.

Western Civilization is simply more comfortable, tastier, more fun than the crap PCs worship.

Humans want MORE.

At this moment in history, we are stuck with two groups who argue over what people should feel guilty about. Neither has anything to offer that anybody WANTS.

Just for instance, what if cold fusion were developed? Some Europeans are working on it.

A thousand times the power at a percentage of the cost..

What about the suitcase bomb?

That would make how many white devils can exploit the point of a pen pretty passé.

In short, the headlines are fascinating until something important happens.
