Listen Slowly

Posted by Bob on October 18th, 2013 under How Things Work

There is no hidden meaning here. It is just advice to those on my side.

I got  paid to be an interrogator. If you ask someone what an interrogator does, he will normally respond with what the verb means in Latin:  Ask questions.

But a moment’s thought will tell you that asking is not a GOOD interrogator’s main job, despite the title.

From suspects to committee hearings, “Get Whitaker in on it” was not only because of what Whitaker might ASK, but what Whitaker might HEAR.

In one  hearing, a big one on a BATF proposal that ammunition be registered, my boss was there as Ranking Member and I was standing behind him, whispering in his ear like Beelzebub.

This is the kind of hearing most people see, the congressman with the staffer whispering to him.

Most real hearings feature an absence of congressmen, staff doing the questioning, but these are not televised.

This time not only was John there, but Bob had to be standing right behind  him. Bob had to be “in on it.”

John asked, I LISTENED. This is one of the clearest examples of why they wanted Bob in on it and what an interrogator does.

At one point John asked the BATF witness the standard question about whether this ammunition registration was part of a plan leading to registration of all guns.

A note: Both congressmen and even senior staffers are sometimes witnesses at committees and we are always preparing to deal with questions from all sides. We know what “prepping,” preparing, consists of.

I stepped up behind John and whispered, “They aren’t prepped on that question. Sic em, Boss.”

He sicced em. He asked that witness eight more times the same question, “Is this a first step to national gun registration?”

Then John put him on oath. It was not a formal investigation so the witnesses had not been sworn. John demanded that, given the runaround he had been given, that question would be answered under oath, i.e., at risk of  perjury.

Sure enough, the answers, which had been runaround enough before, completely changed under oath.

So, “Bob was  in on it” and all anybody saw was me step up for one short whisper.

Even in normal conversation it also makes a difference HOW you listen.

One who replies instantly is considered a featherhead.

And often IS.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I was not there as an extra mouth, but as an extra pair or EARS.

The BATF Brigade would have been infinitely more comfortable if John had simply repeated a question I had whispered in his ear.

They got very uncomfortable as John clearly ran my observation through his mind and contemplated HOW to “sic ’em.”

Most of my best advice gets lost in quick responses.

For example, much of my best counsel comes from rethinking basics. But everybody has heard the basics many times and has something he routinely says when one is mentioned.

That response takes up the crucial seconds during which he could have thought WHY I brought that particular basic up and what my point was. A quick response means that “Whitaker is not in on it.”

More generally, how quickly you answer is as much a part of your conversation as what you say. You notice the guy who has nothing to say.

Most people who have nothing to say, have nothing to say.

You also notice the featherhead who instantly gives an “answer” he would have given had you never been born.

And you notice the person who is listening. He is not the Cone of Silence who might be trying to look Silent and Wise. He is the guy who runs what you said through his brain and THEN has a comment.

One of the first things an interrogator learns is to sort out the OTHER listeners from the featherheads and the Owl Brains.

The person who is listening can make you nervous, but he also makes talking worth while.

Damn! I understood every word of this! But I’m going to shut up before I prove I didn’t.

I really like this blog. It’s about how to read all the other blogs, right?

I’m going to copy today’s blog where I’ll be reminded of it.

“For example, much of my best counsel comes from rethinking basics. But everybody has heard the basics many times and has something he routinely says when one is mentioned.”

We see that reaction constantly when swarming. Especially on youtube, you can put up several comments in succession stating exactly what White Genocide is, and for many who reply to you it’s like you haven’t even spoken. They “know” what genocide is, and also “know” exactly what all defenders of Whites are. Those two things have been basics in today’s society, and it’s been hard to have them reconsidered.

And most of our own brains tend to work in the same reactive way unless we monitor ourselves.

I won’t be able to edit this, so I hope I haven’t stepped in anything.

If any readers here haven’t added initials to this month’s STOP WHITE GENOCIDE “petitions” yet, we need about 35 more initials to make them visible on the White House’s international billboard.

I get hold of the phone number of an austerity driving right wing respectable think tank. I phone up expecting a flunky or message service but get straight through to main man. I hit him with:

You support white genocide. Africa for the Africans, Asia for the Asians, white countries for EVERYBODY! Mass immigration+”assimilation” imposed on All white countries and ONLY white countries Anti-racist is a codeword for Anti-white.

    Him: “No, we don`t”

He sounded serious which threw me, so I thought it best to hang up.

    Prepping.

    Signed the petitions HD
They are a work of art, as usual

So, WHY did Bob bring up this communication basic – again?

My first conclusion is that he wants to remind us that BUGS is not some interweb space that needs “filling” and the second one is that maybe we should go back to one comment per article and one response. This might help encourage more listening. I know it’s the hardest thing to do for some of us. But, you need to get good at it and quick.

Listen. If any of you are in leadership positions outside of BUGS, try this out. In the next meeting you attend, let a person who asks you a question squirm. It’s not nice, but it’s sure as sh!t fun. Here’s how you do it if you haven’t already.

Hold off on answering a little longer than normal and watch how uncomfortable the entire room becomes. Once you have your answer count off 5 seconds or so. You will probably get a couple of nervous chuckles and people adjusting their seats. Try it. Silence or a pregnant pause when coupled with measured and carefully-placed rhetoric is power exercised. The second way to do this is not to answer, but to ask a MORE intelligent question back. Empower them to realize they already had the answer.

Both methods remind the audience that you don’t have to answer questions. 😉

    Related meeting moment, Daniel.

Roomful of recent college grads, “good northeast schools,” and somebody says something leftie, (having come straight from mao-speak ed), expecting to get big strokes from the big boss just like at school. That pause … then a dismissive, firm, no eye contact, “that has been discredited.”

Nothing more, but it was period, the end. Everyone nodded and got in line. It probably occurred to a couple of them that taking over the whole world might really be that easy.

Its me who says “ask questions” and become an interrogator. Yes I know that listening is the important part so you can figure out what questions to ask.

Here is my point a lot of talent in our pool is wasting away doing trained seal contardism of being nothing more than a tailgater to the Left, what a waste a life of essays and nothing more.

    Excellent comment, Genseric!
What you did was listen to what I said, think about it,and put it to practical use.

Let me see if I have this straight, and I’m talking about how we Bugsters respond, not the anti-whites:

1- There are the quick counter-attackers (featherheads) who have “copy and pasted” responses ready to insert into most anti-white comments.

2- There are the silent Owl types who have nothing to say outside of an occasional ‘copy and pasted’ response. And who then remain silent with only an occasional platitude thrown in.

3- Then there are the ‘listeners and processors’ who hear the anti-white propaganda and respond after reshaping the Mantra basics into a, properly thought-out and relevant respond, –to that particular anti-white’s post.

    —- . —–

If I have this correct, I’d say I relate most to the (group 1) approach considering my present expertise. The (group 2) response seems to be those who don’t tailgate much and are interested in carpet bombing the net with the Mantra message.

Ahhh, but the (group 3) Bugsters, who I’ve seen in action occasionally, are able to dice-up an anti-white opponents with just a few critical responses. It’s a beautiful thing to see.

A gentle reminder that anti-whites only say one of 5 things:

      1) they deny there is such a thing as white people or white countries.

      2) they scream about how evil white people are.

      3) they justify white genocide using one of a thousand different reasons.

      4) they wish for white genocide/celebrate it.

      5) they say pro whites should not be allowed to speak, because we are “evil”.

It “should`nt” require much if any effort to fire back a relevant response.

As for “dicing up” anti-whites, combinations of copy and paste mantra short sword attacks are all that`s required for the audience to absorb the message.

Yes, thank-you DenounceGenocidists, I’m aware of your 5-points and many more after doing this for the last few years. And I remember when Bob wanted us to post the Mantra ONLY –and I did (though often in abbreviated form).

What my comment was relating to was Bob’s article listed above “Listen Slowly,” (please read) and the conscious effort and ability, to (think and consider), “how to sic ‘em” before one just blurts out a response.

“If I speak of myself in different ways, that is because I look at myself in different ways.”

You`ve been reading Bob and pushing the mantra for years but you say you`re still only in “group 1”?

          I did read the article.

Modesty prevents me from being too boastful and often I try to err on the side of caution but not all the time.

I’ll revise it for your opinionated and judgemental observational abilities: Group 2 also, with a spattering of Group 3 sarcastic zingers thrown in.

If you said you read the article then you most certainly fit solidly within the Group 1 or ‘featherheaded’ group (see above).

Again my comments related to Bob’s article not your predetermined prejudices. Think before you speak my friend.

              Hey DG,

Disregard my comments. I thought you were some new guy trying to correct everybody.
              ===
I was use to your old name, it had a more sinister sound and (scared the anti-whites who saw their future respite ending up in a dungeon).

Again, thank-you DenounceGenocidists for your time and effort in responding to my comment. Your points are well taken.

Guys, tried to start a new topic in the Swarm, wouldn’t let me. Weird because I started one the other day. [all were in moderation] What do you guys think of this:

On Follow the White Rabbit, I remember Horus talking of “reconditioning” people to free them from the Anti-White tactics by repeating our talking points over and over and over.

He talked about the Active Measures and how there was a final phase they would implement called “normalization”.

Often times I dream about our fight, literally dream, while sleeping at night. I woke up going over the problem of the billboard owner, not the guy who rented it from him, but the actual owner. Since the pro-white who rented the billboard stayed anonymous, the billboard owner is the one who is taking the brunt of the Anti-White shit storm. I think I read somewhere that there will be Anti-Whites showing up at his business location to protest, you have the mainstream media calling him out and demanding answers, people pulled the other sign down, etc.

Pro-Whites are afraid to show their face in public, afraid they will lose their job, afraid they will show up on the news, afraid they will be ostracized, afraid they will go to jail, get jumped by a mob, etc. I for one am pretty damn sick of it.

And at the same time I keep seeing huge support ONLINE for Pro-Whites. And don’t forget, there was a regular everyday looking Joe on the interviews in support of the billboard willing to show his face. Matt Heimbach recently did a sign display with his buddies on the street where they said people would honk their horns in support and give the thumbs up, stop their cars and come up to them for a friendly chat, etc., and they didn’t really meet any opposition because they showed up by surprise, and the Anti-White goons couldn’t organize their little terror squad in time to come stir up trouble.

Here is what I am going to start trying:

Me: “Being Pro-White is normal now.”

Anti-White: “The HELL it is! Naziwhowanttokillsixmillionjews! Nazis and and Skinheads and Klansmen! Oh my!”

Me: “Bleh. Being Pro-White is normal now.”

Anti-White: “What about slavery and oppression and racism!”

Me: “Long time ago, calm down. Being Pro-White is normal now.”

Anti-White: “Oh my god! No it IS NOT. The nerve of this guy!”

Me: “I stand against the ongoing program of White Genocide. Being Pro-White is normal now.”

    Broken record.

I envision some Pro-Whites showing up to counter protest the goons that will be harassing the billboard guy. Media comes in for the attack. “I don’t know what they’re so worked up over. Whites are being turned into a minority. Being Pro-White is normal now.” Of course, holding White GeNOcide signs, going through the regular material, etc.

A family member is giving a young kid getting into Pro-Whitism grief: “You’re not talking about all of that ‘racist’ stuff again, are you?” “Blah. Anti-Whites are boring. Being Pro-White is normal now.”

I think if we can repeat this phrase enough, it will get all of these people who support us behind the keyboard a little more comfortable with the IDEA of being Pro-White. And, it will drive the enemy up the wall by denying them a sense of importance and the thrill of getting a rise out of us, and generally ingrain the idea that we are perfectly normal for being Pro-White in an Anti-White system and that the numbers are beginning to be on our side. We need to repeat it until it becomes a reality. I’m not talking about ditching the rest of the Mantra, we still have to actively oppose our Genocide and show that the “Anti-Racists” are just being Anti-White. But when they really start trying to ostracize people, sprinkle this strategy in.

I’m interested in everybody’s thoughts on it. But I am going to get out there today on YouTube today and see how the Anti-Whites react to it, and see if it gets any other reactions.

    Being Pro-White is normal now.
