I remember hearing the robocall that was made for Bob Whitaker’s campaign, and thoroughly appreciating the professional and respectful tone of the message. Now, I haven’t heard it recently, and my memory may have failed me, but I don’t recall hearing any of our standard talking points in the Call. Moreover, I worry about the length of such messages. 50% of people hang up after only 10 to 15 seconds, the other 50% will listen to the rest of the call.

So, that first 50% has to be taken into account.

10 to 15 seconds is more than enough time to say: “Diversity is just a codeword for White Genocide,” or “White Supremacist is just an anti-white hate word used by anti-whites who want white genocide,” either one at the very beginning of the robocall, then continue with the rest of the script. At the very least every single person that picks up, AND, every single answering machine will hear our talking points, and isn’t that what this is all about?

“Most vendors report that half their calls get picked up by an answering machine, which is good for them in that it counts as a completed call. Of those that get answered by a live person, vendors say that about half of the recipients hang up in the first 10 seconds. “The other 50 percent will listen to the entire message,” Stanley says. “The average man who listens will give you 10 seconds; a woman will give you 17 to 18 seconds,” says Marty Stone, cofounder of Stones’ Phones, a Washington, D.C.-based vendor that works with Democratic campaigns. “Seniors,” he says, “will typically give you 30 seconds or more.”
