I’ve been hitting mostly ONLY youtube homepage/popular/trending videos, but like Jason, I’ve wondered the following:

Very interesting. I wonder if it is more effective to hit videos that don’t get new comments every few seconds, like maybe every few minutes instead?

It would definitely take coordination. I’m not vetted enough on here I don’t think (I had almost 6 months of little/no activity and I just started posting again), but I think if a group of BUGSers who trusted each other tried doing that, it might work.

The problem is that you’d need _a lot_ of people up-voting the comments for them to stay up. And then as there is more visibility, more people will likely down-vote them (which is no reason not to do it). Plus, I have a feeling google/youtube has an algorithm that prevents the same group of people continually up-voting each others comments. On the other hand, who knows when we reach that threshold. All that said, we have to TRY it, right? Assuming makes an ass out you and me 😉 And I’m sure we’d get somewhere in the process. Maybe even MILD success on popular videos like that would be effective (e.g. part of our conversation showing on the first page).

The more voices spreading the Mantra, the more videos of the Mantra, mini-Mantras and mantra thinking, the better.

Nordoxen was thinking of SHORT videos, maybe 1-2 minutes. This is a very good idea in the age of Twitter and Vine.

TimeForFreedom, your videos are like 10 minutes long and give no indication of the topic they’re discussing besides the ARIACWFAW phrase which is in all of them. I’m glad you made these, they are much better than not doing it for “fear of failure,” but I would suggest giving some more information about the topics and maybe shortening them up a bit.

Nordoxen, I think your idea is a good one. I might be willing to help depending on what it is. Just let me know about specific projects/videos and I’ll let you know if I’m willing to contribute my voice, some links, or script or video editing.

First, I want to say <b>that is a truly phenomenal video you made!!</b> A home run if I ever saw one! I had been envisioning something like that for a while and hoping someone would make it, and low and behold you did it! And a damn fine job at that!

What a good feeling it is after over a month’s absence from BUGS to find such inspiring material being created!

The (White) youth are very sensitive to quality in media (it’s related to status and aesthetics) and I think the number one thing we can do to reach them better is make higher quality, professional videos using the mantra and mantra related topics, just like you did.

Second, I never saw a response to your question about YouTube videos being in HD by default. I am fairly certain it has some sort of automatic sensor that picks the highest quality based on what it thinks your computer resolution and connection can handle. Now, this “auto detect” system is frequently wrong, as my computer and connection can handle 1080p but it defaults in 480p most often. But once in a while it will get it right, and I know it’s been correct (and incorrect) on other people’s computers.

Third, if you can make the time, I would love to discuss working with you, and/or the raw footage of the shoot you did for this video. I know you are very busy, as am I, but if you’re willing to schedule some time for us to audio chat on Skype (or we can communicate via email, whatever you’re more comfortable with) I think it could result in adding to you’re already substantial and effective contribution to fighting White GeNocide.

I never thought of using a prepaid phone…that’s not a bad idea! Same goes for the Skype number with a prepaid credit card…I’ve actually never heard of a prepaid credit card (maybe you mean cash/debit card?), but either way, that’s not a bad idea either if you are concerned about anonymity.

i just typed up a fairly in depth response that didn’t go through. thought i copied it but i didnt. really have to go asap, thats why im typing like this, but the long and short of it was thank you, it’s good to know an experience bugsers appreciates it and thinks it will be effective. makes me feel like it was time well spent.

all the errors you mentioned were not intended and do not show up in my version. im using mac but using microsoft word. maybe try opening it up in a word .doc? if you are still seeing the errors email me and i’ll try and fix that by making it a word doc.

i would be happy to do 2 and 3 the same way, but i would really appreciate them being edited to the same degree 1 was, bc i am a slow, meticulous writer/editor and it would save me a ton of work. i cant tell you how many hours you guys saved me on 1.

also, after this post i will be pretty much gone from bugs for about a week due to work and other obligations that require almost my full attention. i might be able to sneak on once or twice but mostly i’ll be m i a.

idk if you use it but i find skype to be an invaluable asset on projects like this. if you want to connect on there, send me your username in an email. and don’t worry, i won’t be messaging and calling you all the time. i’m usually set to invisible so i can get work done.

i’ll make sure to post on here or email you when i’m back so we can touch base and get ahead with the project. in the meantime, any work you, frank, or anyone else can do on 2 and 3 would be a huge help and time saver for me.

Oh and I actually have a question about #7, “Not pissing in the punch bowl” / not “cock blocking the mantra.”

I am a bit unclear on what exactly constitutes “pissing in the punch bowl.” Before I listened to podcast 7, I kind of had the opposite idea. I thought part of the reason they called it “the swarm” was because multiple people swarmed/overwhelmed the same targets…so I would often click on links where others posted the mantra/mini-mantras and join in.

I don”t think it’s ALWAYS cock blocking the mantra to do that…we need people at least voting up other BUGSer\’s comments for example, but I’m a bit confused on it now. I mean, I realize I wouldn’t post the full mantra in the same place someone else did because that would make it look like spam, but things get more fuzzy for me with the mini-mantras.

So, say someone’s posted a mini-mantra or a few on a particular youtube video. Should NO ONE else post any mini-mantras on that video because the other person is working there? Besides something like a Ray William Johnson video (where are are so many comments, almost no one would see two different BUGSers comments), when, if ever, is it okay for more than one person to post mantra-related stuff on the same thing?

Okay. I put a lot of work in to FTWR #1. I spent the majority of my weekend working on it. I think I’ve polished it up quite a bit.

I worked a lot on making the text as clear and correct as possible. I did a lot of formatting. I broke up a lot of paragraphs. I added a lot of images, many of which I “created” (using meme generators and demotivational creators). I tried have at least one picture on every page, so all but a handful have at least one now.

I also added a list of the four talking points covered in FTWR #1 so they’re all in one easily accessible place. More importantly, I added list of FTWR terminology with definitions at the end of the document. I think this is vital to understanding the material. Someone who doesn’t have that as a reference will probably be lost in a lot of areas.

Now, I tried to use as many explicit definitions or defining sentences from Horus as possible in the definitions I gave, but sometimes I either didn’t have much to work with, and other times his statements weren’t clear. I’ve listened to 1-32 so far, so I think I have a pretty good idea of the definitions are.

I utilized both definitions/descriptive sentences he used in FTWR #1 as well as the short “White Rabbit Terminology” mp3. I decided to make it a more inclusive index, including terms not used in FTWR #1 so it can be included at the end of all transcriptions (potentially).

One example of something I HAD to elaborate on was Horus’s definition of “Weaving Velvet.” In his White Rabbit Terminology mp3, he defined it as simply “telling the truth.” I added that, but I also gave a more descriptive definition because he uses it in a very different way most of the time, even in FTWR #1.

Anyway, I’m interested in hearing feedback from anyone that takes a look at it. I know there are still stupid errors left. There always are.

Anyone looking for a literal and exact transcription will not be pleased with my version. What Horus says works really well in podcast form but not in text. I tried to make it the text equivalent, which required adding and deleting significant amounts. I think it reads much easier now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some people don’t like some of the changes I’ve made. The beauty of it is, if you don’t like it, you can change it to however you like!

The rtf file is 42MB but I have a compressed version in .zip that’s 10.6, so I should be able to email it. I can send it to anyone over skype or via email. However you prefer. Just let me know.
