Welcome to the Real World

The Enemies of Good Things ALWAYS Claim to Be the Friends of Good Things

Again and again I hear people say, “People who say they are for freedom of speech…” or “People who talk about love and brotherhood are the ones who are the cruelest.”

My reply is, “Welcome to the real world.”

Lenin took power with slogan, “Peace, land, and bread.”

Under Lenin, the Ukraine, which had been Europe’s bread basket, starved. The Soviet Union was a hungry country from the day the Communists took power and for the seventy years of Communist rule.

Lenin’s rise to power began a civil war that was even worse than the disasters of World War I. After that the Soviet government conducted one long war against its own citizens, killing tens of millions of them.

So much for Peace and Bread. What about land?

The Soviet Government collectivized all land. In plain English, it took all the land for itself.

But there is nothing special about Communism. The Inquisition was conducted in the name of a loving Christ.

The courts tell us that the people do not matter. People born in America have no more rights than illegal immigrants. When Californians voted overwhelmingly to deny welfare to illegal immigrants the courts said they couldn’t do that.

The Supreme Court, you see, is the Constitution. The Constitution says that its only reason for existence is to secure the blessings of liberty for the people of the United States and OUR posterity.”

The Supreme Court declared that it makes no difference whether you are one of “the people of the United States” or not.

And the person who screams most about Freedom of Speech will censor every word you say in the name of Political Correctness.

In His last agonies on the Cross, Jesus said, “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.”

Saint Paul said we should be “all things to all men.” He said specifically that we should bend on matters of doctrine or ritual so that our brothers’ faith will not be weakened.

There is no one more unforgiving of doctrinal difference or of a different ritual who says he follows Christ and St. Paul.

And no one is as unforgiving as a Christian who thinks he has The Only True Faith.

Hypocrisy is not something unusual. It is routine.

Welcome to the real world.

Pimping Pain and Suffering

Respectable Conservatives are on cloud nine. The Terry Schiavo case in Florida is something they live for. They can have a play fight with the left, and both come out ahead.

The left and the Respectable Conservatives love to sink their fangs into an issue like the Schiavo case. They could care less about the people involved, but each gets an enormous opportunity to grandstand. The left sees it as another chance to destroy common decency while the respectables can talk big and raise money on an issue that is emotionally touching and splashy but peripheral to the main issues.

Respectables and their unwitting followers get all worked up over this type of issue because it’s safe. No one can be called a racist or bigot or hater for siding with Schiavo. Common pity and sympathy are natural in such an individual case. The poor, beleagured working man with a sense of decency can give full vent to his emotions in this type of case without harming the left in any way.

Real leadership requires tough decision-making, detachment, and dedication to the big picture. Most people are incapable of this, especially with issues outside their immediate purview. That is why Jesus was so condemning of the scribes and Pharisees. They were the leaders of their day, and were living off of the people, “making merchandise” of them.

This is why Jesus told his disciples that the “greatest is the servant of all.” He was talking about LEADERSHIP. A real leader serves his people by doing what is best for them, regardless of the cost to himself.

A Respectable helps himself to a big serving of his people.

Real People Suffer

The Schiavo case is a real tragedy for the families involved. It is shameful that their personal suffering is made into a political and media circus act.

Few people relate to abstract ideas. People relate to other people, and that is why these personal cases create such attraction.

The influence of TV and other media has warped this very human trait all out of perspective. That is why Congress and the Supreme Court and the President must all weigh in on this case and “do something!”

Anyone who believes a country can be governed adequately in this manner is out of his mind. It takes someone like Ole Bob to point this out.

When there is a natural disaster like the Florida hurricanes last year, the Governor and the President must immediately get on a helicopter and rush to the scene. Why? What good can they accomplish? They are wasting thousands of dollars and impeding the efforts to alleviate REAL suffering by REAL people. All for a dog and pony show.

Meanwhile back on planet earth, in fact in the same state of Florida, a little girl is brutally raped and murdered by a repeat “sex offender.” The life of a family is torn apart because the left has succeeded in keeping these animals out of the electric chair and putting them back into REAL neighborhoods where they can prey on REAL people.

Oh, you’ll hear Respectable Conservatives pound their fists about bringing back the death penalty and keeping these people locked up. But will you ever hear one remind a leftist who got them back on the streets in the first place?

Here is a well-written description of what REAL people suffer. It is part of an account of a young female “whigger” that is worth reading.

Notice how this young girl acts just like a “Respectable Conservative.” Think about how many REAL little girls are ending up like this, because “Respectable Conservatives” have let the left lead us down this path.

Deadening Diversions

Cases that are novel and shocking grab the media headlines. People are drawn to them like moths to a flame. That is part of our nature. It is easily exploited.

It is horrible when a child is murdered. It is heart-rending to see a case like the Schiavo one.

But what can we say when we have thousands and thousands of our young people slowly destroyed right under our noses? Having Daddy’s little girl become a wretched little whore over a ten year period is not a headline grabber. Yet we all see these works in progress every single day.

So while we have Respectable Conservatives and leftists and everybody else screaming and wailing over a brain-dead woman, we have thousands and thousands of our little girls being turned into brain-dead little tramps, and thousands and thousands of our little boys being turned into brain-dead animals.

Think about this when you watch Sean Hannity or Bill O’Reilly or your favorite respectable rail about the latest circus act. What are they saying about the little girls you see every day?

When the dust settles on the Schiavo case, and before the next one arrives, take some time to think about what is really being accomplished.

3/26/05 Insider Letter

(Reprinted to Blog from email list of 3/26/05)

*** Bob’s Insider’s Message ***

My articles this week are focused on the real story that is obscured by the “news.” It is a sign of the steady degeneration of our people that more and more sensational stories are required to get attention.

The left knows that they must keep up a steady pace, and work diligently everyday for their aims. They simply refuse to let up on their agenda, especially when a national opportunity arises to provide a wider platform. The Respectable Conservatives only see an opportunity to roll over for a few tidbits, just like well-trained puppies.

If we are going to make any progress, we have to recognize that the steady approach is the way to win. Hold our ground, and take back enemy turf inch by inch. I have focused on the colleges and universities as the key to breaking the power base of the left.

But every institution is being subverted by the left. The respectables provide the cover, diverting the fire of the decent folks to wear down and demoralize them. It happens over and over and over again.

I’m sure it is tiring to hear me repeat the point, but it sure is tiring to have to repeat it over and over. WOL readers are way ahead of the average American, and it is up to those of us who know the score to keep our eyes on the ball.

Do what you can, where you can. Every little bit helps.

If you don’t know what to do in your particular situation, for God’s sake, at least don’t give any credence to the leftist – respectable side shows.

Now The Pope Is Worried About Pain!

Yesterday, the brain-dead woman had to be kept alive because pain does not matter. The Pope said that life is infinitely precious, so everybody who is brain-dead must be kept alive while their families are financially ruined, children’s futures are destroyed, and many Americans have no basic medical care.

Yesterday doctors could not end a life of agony because life is infinitely precious.

That was yesterday. Now the Pope has a new medical opinion. He says the brain-dead woman is dying in agony.

Today, pain is everything.

Smarts

I was once struggling with a dog I had to take care of. I forget the exact circumstances.

It was a very spoiled dog and a very expensive dog. As we struggled, I saw a look in its eyes.

The expression said, “I am trying to outsmart a human being.” He knew he couldn’t do that.

When I was in recovery from drug addiction, my use of speed had reduced my IQ to 100. I suddenly was not smart anymore. Thank God that reverses itself. My IQ is back up.

But that experience made me I realize what it feels like not to be smart.

I got terrified of smart people.

If you know someone is smarter than you, you are defenseless. How can you figure out what someone who is smarter than you may be doing?

I had been scared the same way when I worked in prisons. I was smarter than the prisoners, but the prisoners had nothing to think about, day and night, but how to outsmart me, how to do me harm.

You never know when you offend a prisoner. And if you do, he thinks about nothing else. In his world, he is smarter than you are.

Reading a biography of Teddy Roosevelt, I was struck by one comment:

He was out West. He did all the work the other cowboys did, and more. But the one thing he never understood was the humiliating, gut-wrenching fear the other cowboys had.

Roosevelt never understood the fear of being without MONEY. That is special, a terror that unmans you.

There is another, similar fear. That is the terror of being without SMARTS.

The petrifying fear most people live with is that someone else knows something they don’t.

What can smart people do to you?

Almost anything.

But in the real world, they can humiliate you.

I’ve been endangered by prisoners.

I’ve been shot at. A lot.

I’ve risked my life a lot.

Humiliation is worse. But I’ve been humiliated again and again.

I asked for it. So I took it. It was part of my lonely fight for our cause.

I’ve been outsmarted and I’ve learned to deal with it. I’ve been humiliated and I’ve dealt with it.

It’s all part of the same fight.

A Medal of Honor is no substitute for MORAL courage. The same guy who won a Medal of Honor will sell his buddies out if it keeps him from losing his rank or his dignity.

If you believe in what you are doing, you have to stick it ALL out there and take a chance on getting it shot off.

And what are you sticking it out there FOR?

You can easily stick it out there for some quote from some Book. If you are quoting some Book, you are hiding behind what some Very Smart Person said.

I am a free-born American. Each time I hear someone quote a book I feel betrayed.

Each time you take a stand for what YOU believe, for what YOUR prejudices tell you, you could be wrong, you could be humiliatingly wrong. You have no Book to back you.

The ultimate courage is standing for what YOU think is right.

“We the People of the United States of America….”

That’s ME.

That’s not a Book.

That’s ME.

And all of my fears, all of my humiliations, have been because of what **I** – Robert W. Whitaker, Esquire – thought was right. No books, no Authorities, no fall-back.

It is a great and lonely thing to be a free-born American.
