Occam Said “Keep it Simple”

Posted by Bob on April 25th, 2011 under Coaching Session

Dr. Bob’s dying advice to Bill W. on Alcoholics Anonymous, which they jointly founded, was “Keep it simple.”

Dr. Bob did not mean that the way a Marxist would, “Keep it simple because the drunks — or in the case of the Marxist — the workers, are simpletons.” In Marxism, the Intellectuals were supposed to keep their own thinking highly complex so they could be the “dictatorship of the proletariat” for the working retards.

No, the founding principle of AA was that everybody in it was a drunk. Dr. Bob was reminding Bill W to keep HIS thinking simple.

In fact, in later life Bill W started talking LSD and the like because he had an Insight that they were what HE needed, but the average drunk shouldn’t touch them.

The greatest single step forward in Western thinking was Occam’s Razor.

William of Occam said “Keep it simple.”

He was not telling the peasants to keep it simple. There wasn’t much of a peasant readership in his day.

He was telling the Intellectuals to stop arguing how, after combining the commentaries on Aristotle with pieces of theology, how many angels could stand on the point of a pin. This classical example may not be accurate, but it is no sillier than what the Scholastics DID discuss.

Occam said that a truth should contain as few assumptions as possible.

There is nothing new about our age. The Scholastics are trying desperately to discuss anything but the simple fact that brown countries are poor countries, Mongoloid countries are not original, immigration and assimilation to ALL white countries and ONLY white countries is genocide according to the Genocide Treaty.

This happens on every piece of information that is produced by any industry.

Jews, in general, are hostile to whites the same way that Poles are generally hostile to Germans. Under present rules this statement makes me anti-Polish as well as anti-Semitic. But this simple statement is as unpopular with anti-Semites as it is with the ADL.

It is simplistic. It ignores the deep scholarship one needs to expose the whole sweep of historic antipathy of Jews to the goyim, the people of the lands (around them), who, as every Jew hears every Saturday in synagogue, hates and persecutes Jews and wants to make the Jews, who are always absolutely innocent and are trying to do them good, suffer.

That’s too simple for Intellectuals on BOTH sides.

It is incredible that Occam’s Razor was ever adopted as a rule by Western science.

I like to think it was adopted because of people like me who were not embarrassed by a simple truth.

Page 30 of the AA big book says:

“the idea that somehow, someday he will control and enjoy his liquor drinking is the great obsession of every abnormal drinker. The persistence of this illusion is astonishing. Many pursue it into the gates of insanity or death.”

This to me describes the same mental process of the modern anti-White follower of the multi-cult.

“the idea that somehow, someday he will make diversity into strength is the great obsession of every anti-White follower of the multi-cult. The persistence of this illusion is astonishing. Many pursue it into the gates of insanity or death.”

The anti-White follower of the multi-cult is very much like the addict. They’re both incapable of understanding the destruction that they’re causing. The addict will use even after losing their homes, families, jobs, etc. The multi-cult anti-White will force diversity on Whites even after the loss of institutions, communities, and civilizations.

BUGS is a group of “sober” people trying to provide an intervention to the anti-White power structure.

In one class, they taught that French “intellectual” marxist Louis Althusser was like a god. He was so smart that he necessarily went off the deep end, which is when he strangled his wife. Other equally brilliant marxists got to his house first, then took him to the madhouse so he could not be tried for what might be a crime, if he wasn’t so brilliant, and it would be terrible to have such a brilliant man’s “career ruined” (teacher’s words), and it worked and he was not charged. Later, when he got out, he said he wasn’t really thinking most of the time and made stuff up, the height of intellectuality was not to “make sense” but to really make people think. Hmm, lol. He admitted before he died that he was just doped up most of the time. Everyone should read his work, maybe Reading Capital (about das C.), to see such a person’s work.

A shame— in a world where so many genuinely intelligent people liked to learn.

At any rate, this sort of thing solves questions like how on earth do 80% of people at “anti-tax tea rallies” simultaneously make their money FROM taxes, lol. From a certain vantage point, it just looks silly.

If the “anti-tax” rally people win, they will mostly be unemployed, lol. But they do not even realize this.

It’s absolutely stunning to see people at “Tea Party” rallies demanding “the government get out of my MEDICARE.”

Their world view has been indoctrinated in them so strongly, the SOCIALISTS of the Self-Proclaimed Greatest Generation attack soclailsim, and praise “free markets.”

I ask them what they are doing to make the world a better place for their grandchildren, and they just get a totally blank look, as if they had never considered such a thing.

      That’s fine.

Their Posterity will return the favor.

After all, THEY will have to adopt the Mantra, and Mantra thinking, or go under.

      No middle ground.

I see the formation of a new Meritocratic Aristocracy in the not too distant future.

All instruction will essentially pull from the Mantra Insights, writ larger, writ Racially.

One of Goethe’s most famous quotes was, “God save us from BELIEF”.

We are plagued with cults. This was Goethe’s recognition of that fact. The plague of cults is nothing new.

I think it has to do with the BASIC underlying response people have to the fact of being alive itself. Why do so many people make poor decisions regarding their basic strategy of coping with the world?

I am often puzzled by this because the run of poor decisions are so obvious and yet the poor decisions get made anyway. And it is all so ordinary. It is all so widespread.

And yet “both sides” don’t see it. The right wing is just as cultish as the left wing. Same behavior, same lack of insight, same poor decisions.

      Singularly important, Dave.

People have been infantilized by the Progressives – Totalitarianism Lite – and have lost track of foundational issues. Worse, they hold these issues in open contempt.

Goethe focused on more Light – and he did not give the Light a Name, or limit how it worked out in his soul.

That’s why I am a big supporter of “Fight Club” moments, where the anger at trying to accept contradictions resolves itself in nonlinear thinking, and a breaking through to the Core of who you are.

A sci fi writer, Harry Harrison, wrote a series about his hero, the Stainless Steel Rat.

The Rat was facing overwhelming odds, and doom was certain, and imminent.

He took a pill, and Harrison describes what happens in on the best descriptions of hitting the Primal Masculine Core.

Essentially, he feels sorry for his opponents, as he knows they are doomed.

This burst of nonlinear Awareness – Testosterone to the Tenth Power mixed with CRAY computational abilities – allowed him to access the Primal Masculine at the Core of his Persona.

Every time I see things falling apart, rather than gtting angery, I think about my Nephew, and Young Miss Scarlett.

The EMOTIONAL REALITY needed to make the Mantra work makes the Mantra easy to work with.

I just remind myself that the ONLY people who are opposed to the Mantra favor the genocide of my Nephews, and Young Miss Scarlett.

Suddenly, all problems can be forthrightly solved.

      “I think of them.

      The rest is easy.”

Well, sometimes, to be saved from “BELIEF” you have to make poor decisions. Remember, most people are ordinary. And those, who are pretty good ,are still just men.

    But Shari,

This needs to be remembered: the real issue how people treat each other. There is little value in the learning that comes from poor decisions. It is like the soldier who has been brutalized on the battlefield and now is among the “enlightened” regarding the meaning of war. The problem is what he learned was not worth knowing.

Cults are an excuse. They are an excuse people have for not raising their standards regarding how well they treat each other.

I understand better what you meant now. Thanks
