[Sorry about the thread title change…it was embarrassing me]

There’ll be an experiment on twitter that’s certainly off the reservation in the graphic that’s used…I want to run the experiment (despite almost universal and maybe well-founded opposition to the graphic), but I wish those of you on twitter would keep an eye on it and give me any feedback you have. Any audience reaction to it is the most important thing of course.

I stepped into my time machine…

Here’s the tweets I know of so far that have involved the graphic.

The replies in the above are just part of our set-up.

As we slowly carry out more experiments with it, I or someone will insert them in this comment or thread.

I have a lot of doubts about this project. Feel welcome to try to talk me out of it.

    My own thoughts:

A year or two ago a group put up on a highway overpass a “Diversity is a code word for White Genocide” banner, and at one end of it they put the celtic cross.

I cringed when I saw that cross at the end of the banner, because I knew it was not only a distraction from the message for the motorists, but that the media would fasten on it to our detriment, as they did.

So here I go about to fasten “White Genocide” to a celtic cross again! When I was so opposed to it on the banner!

When I look at it that clearly, I do suddenly become very dubious about it. It seems to make little sense to do that and possibly encourage other pro-Whites to do the same, as they did on that banner, when I’m so opposed to it in general. I may abort this experiment but keep it in mind for a possible later time if circumstances radically change.

Yeah, I was immersed in SF and very irritated as always to be getting so little of the help that’s needed with the “petitions” that when they were discussing (always discussing) their own “White pride” celtic cross logo, I think, I suddenly saw a way to poke the membership in the eye, and from that point on I lost my perspective.

Last night I emailed Bob for his opinion of the graphic, and unless he surprises me by liking it, I’ll probably drop it.

I can get pretty crazy on my own, but with Stormfront’s help I can get real crazy.

Well… I don’t think the image adds anything. But you mind as well give it a go for a month or so, maybe it’ll get more stormfronters to sign the petitions. That’s the most gain I would think you would get out of it anyways.

SF’ers hate it. For once they may be right. And they’re telling me to use the full phrase, “Stop White Genocide.” How about that! 😉

And btw, NOTHING can “get more stormfronters to sign the petitions.”

The only thing that has ever accomplished that at all is sending PMs to literally thousands of them (that’s hundreds of PMs, since one PM can be sent to 10 recipients) to get just 20 or 30 more who will actually sign, for a few months at least, when they receive the end-of-the-month reminders.

I’m finally completely burnt out on that and won’t do any more of it.

So I ask all of you to pitch in at the end of the month when the new petitions are submitted and do what you can to get the 150 sigs that make them visible.

From now on, there’s going to be only one petition each month, on Bob. Please give all the help you can at the very end of each month to get the 150 initials that will make it visible!

Finally, 1 petition I can sign 25 times with mailinator.

I’m going to go with that graphic. I finally forced it on Bob’s attention and he had no objection to it (and that is still the final word for me when I’m considering breaking what I consider to be a rule, and a rule that I’ve been rather adamant in doing my best to enforce in the past myself!), and in fact his reaction was positive.

I haven’t been able to lose the feeling that that’s a powerful graphic with some good possibilities. If others feel the same, please join me in testing it on twitter and elsewhere, and in any case please report on this thread any significant reactions you see to it.

I thought using a celtic cross was a departure that I shouldn’t take without consulting Bob, but assuming I understood Laura correctly, she told me afterward that Bob considered this design to be in the category of “easy stuff” that we shouldn’t bother him with but should just try out ourselves and see the result.

I think that’s the first time I’ve ever insisted on a consult with Bob (I’m not certain), but in the future I will just follow my own instincts and ask for forgiveness later if necessary. 🙂

To be honest, I think my instincts have been pretty good so far. I think I understand pretty well what we’re doing and how to do it, although I am also almost ALWAYS in a state of at least SOME confusion and doubt. That’s just my nature, and I beg the patience of the few who are working closely with me.
