Competitive Macho

Posted by Bob on October 13th, 2004 under Musings about Life

If there is one thing I am sick of after a lifetime of dealing with the World War II generation, it’s Competitive Macho. You know, the old “Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen” bit.

So when it came to robbing future generations with endless veteran’s benefits and hikes in Social Security, the group that calls itself The Greatest Generation would say, “I came up in the Depression and I wuz in Wuhld Waw TOO. You OWE me!”

And anyone who had a problem and tried to share it got the reply, “I came up in the Depression and I wuz in Wuhld Waw TOO. You don’t know what Suffering is.”

Ah, the old “You don’t know what Suffering is!” line. Jews and The Greatest Generation sang it in a duet, all day every day.

So if you ever feel like telling anybody “That’s nothing. Let me tell you what having it rough really is,” the guy who drops a ray of ice down the back of your shirt will be me.

That’s as far as I can go legally.

I saw an old bag driving around yesterday with a liscense plate holder that said, “Dignity and Rights for the Elderly.” Yeah right.
How about a bumper sticker that says, “Support the Rights of the Unborn: Abort the AARP!”?

I think you are selling The Great Generation short, Bob. Why, we had it rough, but in spite of all that we were the worlds greatest philanthropists, too. After all, we gave America away for a song and a dance. Where is your gratitude for that? Just look around you. You have us to thank for everything.

P.S. Put ice down my back and you could be charged with reviving the Cold War!

Corporately, America’s greatest generation, my a$$.

FDR’s New Deal continued on their watch. Now they have no problems with using the coercive force of the state to leech off their children what they would have given more with love and stewardship of their own funds.
Roe vs. Wade happened on their watch. Many of their children were unborn.
Neo-conservatism happened on their watch. Now they cheer their President Shrub.
Liberalism and peligianism took over the churches on their watch. They now worship themselves and mythologize Christ to become their peer or subordinate and/or Marxist.

Barring repentance and its fruits, the sooner their dust mingles with the cursed soil that they have made our nation the better.

What did you want us to do, Bob? We had our nice little house in a White Suburb. We watched our football and baseball. I mean, Little Rock wasn’t that big a deal, was it? Were we supposed to sit around worrying about the future of our children and grandchildren? That’s a real bummer. Nobody handed us life on a silver platter. Each generation has to fend for itself.

    Tell me this, Bob.
    You guys any better?

Your generation had it easy. I grew up in the 1980’s and 1990’s. I know suffering. Try getting a job if you are a White male. Try getting into graduate school. 4.0, GRE=740’s; I applied to two dozen schools, but got in nowhere. Try buying a house, which your generation bought for $25,000, and sold for a million. I can’t afford a million for a bungalow. You guys had it easy. I bet you are living up somewhere in a cush apartment with posters of big-bosomed women, a pool and a weight room, living off your early retirement. Your generation had it easy.

Your generation sold America to the dogs and got rich. I watched as my state went from all White to mostly alien, while your generation got rich. Your generation had it easy. I should know. I am the next generation.

    Joe,

Not only do I agree with you, I wrote a book about it at

    READBOB.COM

Go there if you want to hit back.

And now you have to decide whether to have the one child allowed to white people these days. His or her tuition will cost you even more than yours did.
