    By “here,” I mean in the particular case of this title, not here at Bugs in general, in case you misunderstood my meaning, Genseric.

    I agree that shorter is better in most circumstances….but referring back to the full Mantra to check what wording Bob used always gets me straightened out when I’m writing shorter stuff, and IMO the full Mantra, which is NOT short, is better than all of our short stuff that I’ve seen.

    Now I guess I’m hiding behind Bob’s aprons! Well, words are aggravating, confusing things. IMO.

    Weirwood, the bottom line is that you did a great job!

    I’ll think about it.

    I could pick a title too.  Someone recently told me to stop being such an overly-analytical perfectionist, and I’m going to.  I come across as indecisive, but in reality I just want things to be as good as possible.  When I am playing basketball, I’m not going to throw it to the skinny 5’10” guy to work in the low post, nor am I going to throw it out to the guy who can’t shoot when a 3 pointer is needed.

    I love BUGS emphasis on “don’t ask, just DO”…  but in a certain sense, that’s like telling the guy who can’t shoot to just “go for it” and chuck the ball up.

    I think a possible compromise between Genseric’s “shortness” and HD’s “Don’t mention White GeNOcide up front” might be something like…  “White Women & The Ongoing Eurocide” or “Eurocide – A White Female Perspective”, “White Women on Eurocide”.  If this video has a chance to get a handful of views over the next week or two, Bob or someone might as well chime in…  but if we don’t get more responses, I’ll mull over it and decide something in the morning.

    I’m sure your perfectionism made a large contribution to how good the video is, so don’t give it up! I’m a perfectionist too, though with usually lesser results, and I’m happy to be one, but it can be a problem when messing with words, because the more you mess around with a piece of writing the more you lose the sense of a reader’s simple initial reaction. One’s initial impulse sometimes turns out to be the right one.

    I’m probably not telling you anything you haven’t noticed. I hope our preceding discussion will be helpful!

    “Don’t listen to HD and Petey.” Don’t forget Iceknight who came up with the title so don’t listen to him too, LOL.

    The view count was around 300 mid-afternoon yesterday. The high view count is doubly impressive because it was released on a holiday weekend. I’d imagine fewer people are online now than most times of the year. It is a testament to the high quality video (and probably the title too;)

    The view count is high because a few of us are posting all over the place and it is getting positive feedback due to the quality of the production.

    If anyone has any other captions they’d like me to add (I know there are some Northern Europeans associated with BUGS), just let me know…

    As to the title, I see both points.  I don’t want to change it every day, so unless Bob chimes in or there is a consensus, I’m just going to leave it, so it doesn’t look like some Nutball who can’t make up his mind is hosting the thing.  The only thing I would concretely think about changing is making it “A Message from “White and Normal” Women”, so that phrase stands out, since it is used as a stand alone so much.

    Does everyone agree that would be a good idea?  Putting “White and Normal” in quotes in the title, assuming that remains the title?

    Regardless of anything else, that highlights the standalone phrase that Horus et al. uses.

    I think I must just be “pissing in the punch bowl” (or is it “cock blocking the mantra”), as Beefcake says, over on the SF thread on the video, since the viewership there dropped from 25 to 12 shortly after my last string of comments there. I think I’ll just leave that thread alone. My tone isn’t quite fitting with the party there, for one thing. I’m too fed up the last few days with the poor response from SF’ers to the petitions. I’m not in a good enough mood for that thread right now.

    I disagree with putting “White and Normal”in quotes because people will often put things in quotes when they are pointing out sarcasm…like some do with “anti-racist”. I think it is fine as it is.

    @ PeterCottontail:  I don’t mind your talk about the title.  I’d just like to see a consensus.  If BUGS is a team, you would think more than three or four people would strategize about it.  I see your point about the quotes.  I put it in quotes to emphasize the standalone nature of the phrase, “White and Normal”.  I’ve heard Horus use it as Substantive, and maybe that’s why it seems so natural to me…  but then again, maybe the “uninitiated” think it is odd.  One YouTube comment said the title is odd too.  So, I’m thinking.

    Also, ACCURATE English captions are now available.  Many thanks to WW for working out the time cuts/stamps…  made putting in the English a lot easier!

    @ HD:  Can you let “vikingcelt” know that I put those on there at his prompting, after I saw his post from page #5 of the SF thread?  I don’t want to do my first post there yet, in case they tried to smear the video by saying, “The Maker is currently commenting on it on SF…”
