HD in his fine article mentioned Ryan Holiday, writer of Trust Me, I’m Lying.
One thing in that book I truly enjoyed was Holiday’s sobbing over The Good Old Days.
Holiday is about 40, so it is especially funny to me to see his shedding tears over how the Web has ended the times when Honest Men controlled the news!
Holiday says that the web has ruined the news, which used to be provided with total honesty and neutrality by the New York Times, 60s news monopoly by PBS, by the Washington Post, and above all by CBS, NBC, and ABC.
As the Devil sings in the “Damn Yankees!”: “Ah, Those Were the Good Old Days!”
When Holiday bemoans the death of the old news monopoly, he is deadly serious. He sounds for all the world like a speaker at the Daughters of the American Revolution talking about how George Washington could never tell a lie.
Holiday starts his book by announcing that his hero is Jon Leibowitz, aka, Jon Stewart.
This is pretty typical of Holiday’s world view: His idea of a truth teller is someone who doesn’t even give his real name.
Actually, I lived and worked through Holiday’s Time of Truth. That experience caused me to ask, first of all:
“Why is this information produced?”
Holiday bemoans these Latter Days when absolutely nobody claims to produce information because it is true.
But there is not a single thing that has CHANGED from Holiday’s New York communications monopoly to the present web culture. On Wikipedia, you can see which side wrote the definitions there, but, unless you were a truly wonked-out Believer in Political Correctness, you could tell what the point of view was of anybody who wrote for the Monopoly Media.
In fact, you couldn’t get a writing job, God knows you couldn’t get a high-level political job, if from the first paragraph what the writer’s political point of view was could not be known.
Holiday is bent out of shape by the web culture because he was a babe in the woods before.

I had to watch a little bit of “Meet the Press” with somebody, quite old last Sunday. One panelist was complaining that Obama was deporting good people. Kid you not. The good old days are over.

“Racist” is just code for shut up White guy.
Whether he knows it or not, he’s been influenced by BUGS.
Something like that would actually make a good comeback. Maybe: Racist is just a code word for shut up you White person.

Also makes me wonder if the hijacking of the Pro White movement, by the anti-White establishment is beginning. They are going to try.

I am reading the book now. It is full of valuable information for BUGSERS. Every BUGSER should drop by Barnes & Noble and at least spend an hour with it. You realize how DESPERATE bloggers and news sites are for content.
That desperation means OPPORTUNITY for us.
It’s hilarious to see the PC crowd flip out over their loss of a media monopoly. They think victims punching back is bullying. In their world, Jon Stewart attacking a private citizen (who has no platform to respond) is good sport. But someone tweeting that he is anti-White is the end of Civil Discourse.
People who Produce Information, including those we agree with, have an agenda. As Bob said, Why Was This Information Produced?
Bob said the author was a babe in the woods and I see his point. Despite the author’s cynical pose, he was naive as heck in thinking Walter Cronkite was objective truth.
I believe Bob once said that elites are trapped by their own experts. They can’t see beyond what their Phd’s tell them. So remember, we are dealing with an enemy that truly believes the PC Dogma it pushes, and is trapped by it. They ARE naive in that sense.
That’s a huge advantage for us.

Taboos are being destroyed, but no thanks to the WN intellectuals who actually benefitted from the stupid arrangement of Mommy Prof authority figure versus bad boy intellectual undergrad essay writer.
Its been done before where taboos have been stricken and a sudden collapse of the establishment that hoisted them followed. In my lifetime this is what happened to Soviet Communism and its servants here in the West. Maybe those older than me can confirm this, but in my childhood years it was nearly impermissible to think that we would prevail, much less call for defeating the USSR outright. The Left smirked and prevaricated, pooh pooing the crimes of the commies and the Right was lead by idiots like a Bob Dole and others like him who were in place to complete the sell out and to ensconce the Left as the ultimate in authority, we were freaking doomed, but we got plenty of essays on the Daily Outrage.
IMO it came down to Ronald Reagan speaking a few simple truths strategically placed that crushed the taboos, and suddenly the king had no clothes and was a puny bastard at that.
The Left is all a sham, smoke and mirrors, regardless what George Will says.

Only a BUGSter could appreciate a development such as this. Not only is this non-white “reporter” using our terminology, she admits “Diversity” is failing.
Gee… I wonder why it’s failing ‘all of a sudden’. We’ve got “Inclusion” solved too. Don’t let UP!
The problem with “Diversity” (Multiculturalism/Inclusion/Tolerance/Institutional Racism) is you eventually run out of white children to chase down.
“Diversity” is a code word for white genocide.
