Reagan, to all appearances, left his Vice Presidential selection until long after his own nomination as clinched. After Reagan’s selection came the big drama as rumors circulated of different possible nominees.

It was a fake drama. Reagan was not a political novice.

So, when his own nomination was sure and no one dared to call him on it, Reagan chose the very symbol of the Loser Left, George Bush, as his running mate. Conservatives dared not say that he was just letting the drama play out.

Gee whiz! Whoda thunk it?

Well, I would, for one. Reagan guaranteed the establishment Republicans that he would only be a short interruption of the iron rule establishment Republicans had held over the Party since 1940.

After he got crushed in the 1964 election, Goldwater called and gave the Party back to the establishmentarians, who had only been out of power for a few months.

Establishment types are pros.  They are in for the long run.

To conservatives, who have all the long-term instincts of a teenager, the second place on the 1980 ticket was nothing.

To the establishment, it was assurance that they could have the Party back after Reagan.

I can’t say for sure, but if politics is still politics, as soon as Trump has clenched the nomination, the establishment will begin what we euphemistically referred to as “hard bargaining”.

That means a last ditch fight for your life.

In 1989, the Bush appointees who had “cleared out the Reaganists” got applause from Republican audiences.

The Republican moderate continued to wreck the Party’s chances at election until Newt Gingrich brought on the conservative revolution of 1994.

Like pro-whites, conservatives kept losing until the power was wrenched from their hands AGAIN.

It is hard to believe Trump would be a sellout, but nobody would admit publicly that Reagan was.

But there is hope.  Unlike Reagan, Trump did not come up inside the Party machinery. He may continue to be his own man.

Goldwater gave the Party back the first chance he got while Republicans for Johnson knives were still sticking out of his back. As one guy put it, “conservatives come to the convention every four years, get kicked in the teeth, and come up smiling.”

Maybe Trump won’t smile.

And maybe the Democrats of 2016 will repeat what Democrats did in 1860: split their majority vote among different Democratic parties.

And maybe establishmentarians will also try their own Party.

In that case, even the most devoted establishmentarians will not produce anything Trump can sell out to.

Maybe they will form their own hissy fit little Party. Even the most groveling conservative wont be able to find anything for Trump to sell out to.

As an economics professor I would describe the production of goods and services.

Now I realize that description is one shortage.

I remember going into a number of People’s Peace Loving Democratic Republics.

One of the tours there was often a place that looked like a condemned warehouse.

But it wasn’t a warehouse.

Honestly, if a store had a warehouse in that shape they wouldn’t let the public see it.

I forgot to mention that on the way in, I had gone through the familiar line of barbed wire, land mines and armed men that stand at the border of every people loving democratic republic.

No, it wasn’t a warehouse, it was a STORE.

It had some watches.

“Did the watches WORK, Uncle Bob, did the watches tell TIME?” No children, the watches did not work.

And the tobacco poured out when you took a cigarette out of the pack.

The machines in the store didn’t work and you couldn’t get coal miner into those clothes.

That’s why they had troops on the border to keep people inside where the people couldn’t buy anywhere else.

One group behind the iron curtain produced goods.

The iron curtain itself produced shortages. That is what armed men do.

The Armed Men produced shortages

In the Red countries the goods were ugly and shoddy and useless.

They showed Mommy Professor’s Dream Economy in ACTION.

Not all of those who dedicate their lives go to shoddy production, shoddy out put is the high point of Soviet Mommy Professor planning.

You still need large numbers of troops in uniforms who are willing to kill.

It is the duty of this latter group to provide a consumer who will praise the goods.

These are not difficult requirements.

And the Quota, in EACH category, MUST be met!

A huge lead article on the MSN web page discussed the evidence of the discovery of a giant battle in Germany that simply discredits all history before that.

It was such a big story that it replaced two celebrity farts!

It also is beginning to prove a main theme of the old WOL at the start of this century that denounced what I called “Garbage Dump History”.

History today says everything began in the Middle East.

That is because the earliest stuff we can find is there.

If you wrote history that way, a thousand years from now everything we have would be traced back to the garbage dump.

And that is what the Place Where History Began happens to be where it is desert and anything that was there thousands of years ago is easy to find.

Also, it just happens that all the researchers; back then were in the Holy Land. So they found all the Beginnings of History right next to where they already were, in Egypt and Mesopotamia.

That’s a little too much coincidence for me, but no FUNDED historian discussed it.

So, from some pottery discoveries, they found that impossible battle.

It was a giant struggle between tens of thousands of soldiers on each side, and they were largely from hundreds of miles away.

Garbage Dump History says this battle was impossible. Our books say that the level of organization above the level of grunts and scratches were entirely to the south of that battlefield

This was long before the Siege of Troy.

So I was right.

All of our history, from the Middle East (Ex Oriente Lux) to placing all of American history in New England is totally screwed up.

I remember very well when Communism was the Future.   In the 1950s, the only alternative to a Communist future was a democratic socialist future like the one being imposed on Britain by the Labour Party.

Today the Labour Party spends a lot of time insisting that absolutely nothing it does has anything to do with “Old Labour,” the Labour Party policies that were once Mommy Professor’s Inevitable Future.

Today polls in RUSSIA say that RUSSIANS who did not live under the Soviet Union want it back.

But nobody else does.

Mommy Professor’s kids under Bernie Sanders STILL insist that “the times are on their side.”

And many sincere religious groups insist, as they have for two thousand years, that the Day of Judgment is AT HAND.

As even Jesus said, God will come when HE wishes.  Even Christ did not know the time.

Marxism is a religion.

Instead of “God Wills IT!” they shout, “It is Inevitable.”

They keep insisting that they must be right because “This is 2016,” just as they used to insist “the Labour Party must be great because this 1952.”

Reality is not affected by a Marxist calendar.

It’s time we put those who say they know History in the same category with those who claim to know the hour of the Judgment Day.
