One commenter was talking about how, when he was protestor in the 1960s, it was cheap. My experience with working people is that it is very, VERY expensive.

Another things is what I call the quantity discount for the activist industry. If you go to a LOT of demonstrations, you can grab a car pool or a van.
And, again, you don’t have to leave a job, a real job, to just up and go.
BoardAd told me that the OWS started with a protest on student loans, but bloggers now write that half of the protesters are middle aged. What kind of middle-aged people can pull up stakes and spend weeks in a march?
No, memories of the hippy days won’t do. Anybody who has ever organized any of these things knows that the only reason for a flash crowd like this is that tens of thousands of middle-aged adults had resources and personnel they needed to use, whatever the excuse.
Not only is this important, but you simply can’t understand how the real world works without this kind of insight. When someone suddenly spends hundreds of millions of dollars on something, you need to look at where those millions and those tens of thousands in the street CAME from.
Let me remind, you do not hear one single word on this point from ANY media source. You do not hear it even from pro-whites except right here on BUGS.

The Leftist “pilot fish” industries associated with government are legion.
At the Federal level they are primarily associated with the Department of Health and Human Services, HUD, and the Department of Education and have mind-blowingly enormous and poorly managed budgets.
Some programs of these agencies are blatantly activist with very relaxed financial controls like the Community Action Councils. This provides funding for a large community of professional agitators, while not hugely compensated, are very ideologically committed Marxists.
Then we have the big time corruption of HUD (Housing and Urban Development). Most of the public isn’t even aware that there are specially Congressionally charted HUD organizations funded to the tune of billions with no financial controls at all, because they are specifically exempted from financial oversight, allowing massive corruption and kickbacks to lawmakers, while huge money flows to a large community of professional Leftist agitators who simply steal the money under various guises.
Then we have labor organizations like the SEIU (Service Employees International Union, formally AFL.CIO) that is in substance merely a trade organization, mostly Medicaid system funded, for Leftist labor lawyers.
Then we have the enormous corruption of the industries organized around the state workers compensation systems. Also we have the hordes of well-compensated professional Leftists that are funded through various departments of ecology and the large industry that exists with an “environmental” justification, publically funded.
There are also many industries that are funded through the various offices of the administrator for the courts, having to do with the giant Leftist corruption organized around our vastly overfunded justice system.
Then we have the Leftist education establishment. Won’t even talk about them. We all know what goes on there.
What the naïve OWS kids don’t understand, because they are young and lack street smarts, is that it is not only this baked-in-the-cake corruption that dooms their dreams, it is the impossibly of reform that stems from the racial destabilization of America.
Look at what happened when Arnold Swartzenegger and Warren Buffet teamed up with the idea of reforming the State of California. Votes by the California “public” itself doomed their reforms. They thought reform was doable and they were proved wrong by the corrupt multi-racial California public itself. The OWS kids in California don’t understand that California cannot be reformed because it has been completely racially destabilized. The State is a permanent mess, no different than South Africa, no different than most of South America.
Over time these kids will get their facts and fictions sorted out. They will become street smart, cynical, and truly radicalized. That process will prove to be a boon for our pro-white cause.

Given the two million or so new 99ers – the permanently unemployed – by spring, opportunities will present themselves.
At this point, the law enforcement community is playing this like chess; lots of tolerance, lines being held, but all parties agreeing to not push the line concerning the use of force. This will continue until next summer – national party conventions.
THAT is when what seems to be disorganized will show itself to be very organized, indeed, as a compliant media supports their agenda.
I also see this as part of a planned backfire set against the possibility of real anger manifesting collectively, This is the bottle presented to it to place itself in, where it can be effectively neutralized.
Remember – this is classic, hard-core Left, and can only agree on one thing – the White Patriarchy is the root of all evil.
Incidentally, the smart people on all sides are looking at all attempts to censor/neutralize/stop the Internet. That is the lesson they have taken away from the “Arab Spring.” When THAT happens, the gloves come off.

In Canada we had the middle aged public workers unions out “protesting”
When the head of the Public workers union got asked some question he got angry and accused the reporter of being a “shit disturber” and “agitator.”
Hear that? A self-styled “protester” accusing OTHERS of being a “shit disturber”
HA HA HA
No one seemed to notice the irony.
In reality it’s simply a show of force by the establishment.
