Apology to Lord Nelson

Posted by Bob on March 2nd, 2008 under Comment Responses

Lord Nelson wrote asking me if I had heard his interview with Truck Roy. The sound does not work on my computer. It will not work again until some computer savvy young relative of mine makes one of the annual visits to my disaster of an apartment.

This is embarrassing first because I quit doing broadcasts because people didn’t show any interest in them. I did around forty of them, so there’s plenty if someone wants to listen.

It sounds like I am not paying the same attention to LN. My failure to get the sound fixed is not laziness or lack of interest.

Another embarrassment is how hard it is for others to understand that I can’t hear the You Tube stuff they keep sending me. But it is a fact that I can’t make my computer work. When something goes out it stays down a LONG time.

My techs would be glad to talk me through this. But you cannot imagine how hard that is for me.

I heard Lord Nelson. You would never guess that was his first interview. Very Good!

Thanks shari. I am only just getting over the shock of hearing my own voice for the first time.
It reminded me of Scottie from Star Trek.

I hope more Whitakerites will be taking the plunge soon.

When I bought my first car, a new Honda, my grandfather admonished me, telling me of his experience of over twenty years of keeping his old Chevy pick-up running with bailing wire and string.

I told him my car was recommended by Buckminster Fuller, an engineering genius. In the decade I owned it, it never broke down, and ran perfectly – IF you kept to the periodic maintenance schedule.

My experience with PC’s goes back to MD-DOS 1.0, and I have learned a lot about keeping Windows PC’s running, the hard way.

I have been something of a fool.

The time I have spend learning about the WINDOWS OS is time I could have spent much more productively.

My friends come to me with their WINDOWS problems, and I now tell them to look at the alternative use of their time, bite the bullet, and buy a Macintosh.

If they have some obscure program that requires WINDOWS XP, as some of their finance programs do, the Macintosh will run WINDOWS XP.

Bite that bullet, and get a Mac.

They are making more of everything but time…

    Bob,

When you get your computer sound fixed, please do some more recordings. Your verbal emphasis really helps in understanding your message. We need your message beamed out over the Internet, because it is the BEST message.

You could even have someone else read it. Like that suggestion a few months ago of a woman reading what you wrote. I know one Stormfront announcer who is looking for some extra material and she has a great voice.
