I made a mistake in one point on the Masons. I said I was “invited” to join. No one is “invited” to join. They say we never invite anyone to join but you would be welcome to apply.

This I translated as an invitation, but then, I believe the choice of words is very important to a Mason.

A former employer did invite me. I turned him down. The lodges in the area I lived in had fallen on hard times and I guess they were trying active recruiting, or he was just a bit overzealous. I have no idea which it was.

I used to see bumber stickers that said “2 B 1 Ask 1”
