Those of you who look to Ole Bob for Wisdom have a serious problem. That problem has a name:
Bob
Al assumes that I know about computers.
Thanks, Al.
Let me disillusion you. This whole whitakeronline was set up by a succession of brilliant people, each of whem was a computer expert and each of whom decided I had a lot to say. So far, so good. In fact, so far so flattering. They convinced me that I was not just an old guy raising hell but a peson who has wisdom to impart.
The downside of this is that, in the real world, when I have any problem with whitakeronline I call Kelso who then calls my former team in Tennessee. This whole thing is so complicated by now that I am afraid to touch it.
I could get you in touch with Kelso and you two could work out something to stop the spam.
This sounds dependent, doesn’t it?
I can give everybody a good lesson here. I spent my career in management. Another word for management is “dependency.” A good manager is someone who says, up front, that he can’t do it all. He makes it perfectly clear to the people he depends on that they are the essentials.
I would be happy to get you in touch with Kelso. You two could do the job. I can’t.
Bob is not a tough guy. Bob needs your help.
Pathetic, isn’t it?
