“A natural born citizen”

Posted by Bob on February 10th, 2008 under Comment Responses, History

A commenter asked a question in Comments about McCain being born in the US.

I answered his specific query, his comment led me back to read the piece of paper called the Constitution. The actual Constitution of course is the US Supreme Court.

Imagine saying that, “No one shall be president who is not a natural born US citizen!” That is a gross violation of “the Proposition” on which George Will says America is based.

This is from the Constitution:

“No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.”

Just like most the Constitution in its plain meaning in our era, the idea that the President should be actually an American is hopelessly unsophisticated.

    But it doesn’t matter.

Rest assured, John McCain is as “international” as Ted Kennedy is. They both fervently believe that America should have no differentiated identity whatsoever and the idea that America should even be allowed to exist as an actual people is anathema to them.

We are far down the road already to non-existence anyway for Obama is an “American”, isn’t he? And Mayor Bloomberg is one too, right?

Accordingly, in America today there as so many “Americans” the idea that any elected official be an actual American is getting in the way of free and fair elections.

McCain, Kennedy, Obama, Bloomberg, Clintons, and the whole political class have a solution: Real Americans must get out of North America, an astonishingly popular idea with widespread support, especially in academia.

Real Americans are just getting in the way of the “idea” of America anyway.

I’m thinking that we are going to get an AFRICAN american president. Whitaker’s prescience will become apparant faster than we think.
