Jay is Right

Posted by Bob on December 13th, 2004 under Bob

Jay complained that my blogs are way too long and deal with stuff nobody cares about. My specialty has always been short stuff that might interest people.

So I have set up a separate blog which I call (honestly) “the long, boring blog.”

This blog allows me to go into stuff that interests nobody. This is where my unfinished books will go. This is where badly-spelled first drafts will go.

Practically speaking, the long, boring blog allows me to record things that are patentable, copyrightable, or just a good place for researchers to look when they show where the Great Neoconservative Commentators’ Original Ideas came from.

Like all writers, I would like somebody to look at the stuff while it’s in process. Just a few people who would really want to.

In this blog I’ll try to put stuff that’s short and interesting.

That may make it VERY short.

Have you ever thought of saving different versions online, so we can how you think? You know, something like Thomas Jefferson’s Original Declaration of Independence with changes marked out in red?

Jay is wrong. We must let Bob Whitaker be Bob Whitaker. Write what you think. Ignore Jay.

No Jay is right. Why do most people read Bob? Well, there’s no poll, but I’ll guess it’s prolly because of his views on RACE and POLITICS.
If somebody strolling the internet for controversial sites on RACE and POLITICS stumbled on here and saw two-page essays on Zorastrianism or Nordicism, they’d prolly never come back. I’ve been a faithful Whitakerite since I was in high school and it managed to turn me off. So what’s more important, gaining new readers or humoring the same ol’ 5 readers over and over again?
Look, I ain’t sayin’ I’m smarter than Bob or am anywhere near as enlightened. I’m just sayin’, I got some sense of what sells, and let me tell you brother, Zorastrianism ain’t it.

Jay, you ARE wrong. Go back and read the original purpose of the blog. Whit thinks about things other than race, sometimes he thinks about women as well. Actually, Whit’s thoughts are more eclectic than he lets on. I don’t know what his IQ is, and I really don’t think it matters much (I’ve repeatedly seen men with IQs of 120-130 outperform the 180s in the world. Most of us in leadership positions would much rather have an lower IQ who works hard than a high IQ that doesn’t and most of the high IQ types tend not to work as hard). What matters is what he thinks and where it leads and that is the purpose of this blog. The articles linked on the splash page have the purpose of reaching out. If all Whit thoughtabout was race, he’d be a pretty flat person, and Whit is anything but flat.
