I was in the University of South Carolina Student Senate, the student council, in 1962 when Saint John the Kennedy sent the Army in to enforce integration at the University of Mississippi. I wanted to introduce a resolution giving our backing to Mississippi, but for once I couldn’t decide, aka, I didn’t have the guts.
So we are not all as brave as the commenters seem to think we are. Some of us wouldn’t find it easy to be ALONE in class against the professor and her thugs.
It takes infinitely more moral courage to fight it out with a professor for our cause than it does for a hundred thousand men to hit the beach at Normandy WITH EACH OTHER.
Contrary to every Wordist dogma, we are a hardwired social animal. You can’t just make us over by writing a book.
As a former prof, let me assure you that there is nothing easier than being a bully from the front of the class. No student EVER wins a debate with a prof. A few of you have put the Mantra in newsgroups and you see how easy it is to cut it or change the subject or just declare the subject is closed.
It takes guts to face a roomful of people. It takes super guts to face a ROOMFUL of hostile people.

It is very easy for an opponent to dismiss your Mantra point (or any point) by exclaiming, “You are just exaggerating”.
That is one technique. There are many others.
That is why our Mantra approach is not argument. Your opponent will not use argument to refute you, unless they really don’t know what they are doing. There are endless means to put you down without argument.
It is why repitition matters. And it is also why your poise is just as important as what you say.

I know that it’s very hard to be face to face with “professionals” One of my worst experiences was sitting across from the school principal,psychologist, and kindergarten teacher, and refusing to take their advise. Shaking because of a kindergarten teacher?!? I think that he is becoming more manly than he ever thought he would.

Well history rhymes but it is never an exact replica. Bob’s youth was a different era, he would have stood against the era of white supremacy at its most powerful, when even the white libs were confident they could remake man into their image. Nowadays white libs are the whores who justify their own beatings, a sad state of affairs.
I fully understand the need to craft “talking points” so anyone on our side can go forth and take a good wack at the weak tea religion of hate, PC, but we also need a clear picture of who we are taking after and the context of their existance.
It is a mistake to think anyone walked into the buzz saw that Bob faced (and don’t think I’m kissing his old ass, I would rather kick it).
The everyday white lib is the weakest of the weak, the cuckold of humanity, yes read a white male writer’s lit it invariably deals with his cuckolding.
Just sayin, not in anyway denigrating anyone who did alot of good.

Never a truer thing was said Bob. And I look forward to the day when we can have some pay back!
Its one reason why bleating on about how we just love our beautiful White race, just will not cut it. Too many members of ‘The Beautiful White Race’ will nail your head to wooden cross. Just to earn themselves some brownie points within the system.
What Bob is describing is in fact, a simple rule of SOCIAL reality.
I wish I had the ultimate answer (Of course I don’t) But here a little psychology lesson I learned that may help:
Imagine you’re alone in a room. Surrounded by a group of people, who are united in their belief that the world is made of cheese. And you try to justify your position by arguing with sound reasoning and facts, that the world is not. Then you are the one who will be made to look and feel like a fool!
However. If you treated that same group of people with absolute contempt. Made no attempt to justify yourself, or win any friends. Simply throw your hands in the air, shook your head with laughter and said ‘Sorry guy’s. I am not buying into your big cheese story’ then promptly left the room still laughing. You may just possibly come out on top.
I know that may sound like a weak cop out. But the fact is you have more chance of winning a physical fight while out numbered five to one. Then winning any argument.
